Is this best abba song or best single? Visitors and On and on,hasta werent singles in the uk.
1. Knowing Me Knowing You (my fave single til the Winner Takes it all was released)
2, Ring Ring
3. Does your mother know - cant stand Bjorn singing but saved by the girls sweet vocals in the chorus.
4. Hasta Manana
6. Bang A Boomerang
7. On and On and On ( rubbish song on a pretty poor album)

The Visitors - easy first choice for me. Practically everything from The Visitors will take my first choice in each round. The 'epic' soundscape is so incredibly evocative!

On and On and On - as can probably be deduced, I'm a much bigger fan of ABBA's latter two-album 'synthy' period than their earlier canon.

Knowing Me, Knowing You - a classic, in danger of over-familiarity but impeccable production nonetheless.

Does Your Mother Know - I know I shouldn't, but I really do like to groove to this.

Ring Ring - I have a newfound appreciation for this following that recent ITV 'Nation's Favourite ABBA song' programme. In some ways more sophisticated 'rock' than Waterloo, I can't fathom why it performed so poorly in the UK charts back in that period. Maybe viewers were disconcerted by the extent to which the guitar bloke comes across as TV in the video...

Hasta Maņana - cheese, but lovely cheese. Fondue I don't mind getting mired in for 3 minutes. Remarkably similar to Tie A Yellow Ribbon though...

Bang-A-Boomerang - Just had to YT it to stimulate memory - and not surprised it's not a song I revisit very often. It isn't a bad song musically, but that lyric is just too insurmountably silly as a hook for me, and much of the song's 3 minutes are built around it. Brevity, the source of wit and all that.

More about a girl with a crush on an older guy rather than being gay. Remember that Bjorn sings lead on it.”

Scenario is a 70s nightclub - jailbait coming on to Bjorn's character.

Kinda like the situation Moore's 007 found himself in with that teenage ice-skater (Bibi, IIRC) in For Your Eyes Only.
