The carphonewarehouse price promise is it genuine?

Anyone tried this?

It is for mobile phones either PAYG or Pay monthly and regarding deals and tariffs directly from the networks.

But if they would price match a tariff from a network, would I get a unbranded phone and would it be unlocked as well?

I was thinking of getting the Samsung Galaxy S2, but the upfront cost of the phone is £280 in CPW and directly from the network is over £150 cheaper.

Yes I phoned them up the other day and asked them to best a quote from phones 4 u and they wouldn't!

My experience is the same... they won't price match.

Their excuse* to me was that their stock is unbranded trade stock and from the networks it isn't, so it's not the same phone.

*came from two different stores at different times so I assumed it's what they're programmed to quote.
