Spoiler
The one with the person looking through the window or whatever it is? Who's that, is it Rory? I thought it looked a bit like David Tennant but there'd probably be about five new OMG threads if it was.

Indeed,

Spoiler
But it's Rory running to get through a closing TARDIS door from the S6 and next time trailers.

Spoiler
I believe the OP is referring to the 4th of the small photos. Which at first glance just looks like the Doctor in his TARDIS. Until you look more closely that is and see that it's not exactly his TARDIS!

Spoiler
Going off the mood lighting, it has to be the Series 1 console room, before The Doctor installed high energy bulbs.

First off - hello.

This is my first post and I should probably introduce myself first but I wanted to post a few ideas based on the pictures linked to in this thread so I'll save the intro for later.

I don't know the etiquette for posting "spoilers" so forgive me if I get this wrong (and feel free to correct me or give advice)

Spoiler
The interior shots of "The Tardis" are clearly not 11's Tardis- the curved, stone-like columns are morein line with 10's

In the exterior shot showing the junkyard, look at the left of the screen and - depending on perspective - there's something that looks very much like a Roman column with some girders etc poking out of the top - The Master often disguised his Tardis as a Roman column.

A couple of other ideas - just thoughts and observations not related to the photos..

Idris...
Spoiler
Idris is not only a Welsh name. In Islam, Idris is "the prphet of the philosophers" and is said to have lived around "the generations of Adam". Idris was also an inventor and is credited as being the first person to observe and understand the movement of the stars. Idris is male - but timelords may not be restricted to gender-specific bodies

The little girl and the photo of "Amy"...
Spoiler
A central - but oddly unexplained - part of Amy Pond's life is the absence of her parents. Little girls often grow up to look their mother - the woman in the photo could be Amy's mum rather than Amy and the baby may be Amy - but needn't be the little girl.

Little girls don't generally have dozens of framed photo's of themselves - they have photos of family and friends. (That may be irrelevent - just a bit of poetic writing - but Moffat is a father and pretty clued up)

Missing time...
Spoiler
Two big gaps in time - and I suspect that the later episodes are going to go back to 1969 and fill those gaps.

Firstly, the time between Amy firing the gun at the "astronaut" and being "shot" by Delaware.

Secondly - and I belive far more importantly - the time when Amy is in the orphanage between spotting the Silence nest and drawing marks on her face. There has to be a reason for stopping using the recorder at that point and however long it took, it seems to affected everyone else as no-one mentioned a loss of any time. When she looks at the marks in the reflection in the window, she then looks at her hands and there's no red light - but the device is found later in a different room. I suspect that the writing on the walls - and the warning on the nutter's wrist - were written by Amy & Canton during that time.

The big one for me...

I don't think series 5 ended and series 6 began. I think that they are all part of one story arc and we are actually seeing certain events "out of order" - not in the linear sense that Amy and Rory can see but in terms of them going back to previous events and altering them or filling in blanks - kind of like starting a book halfway through and then reading chapters at random. The real story won't even make sense until we get all of the chapter and assemble them in the right order. I believe the later episodes will actually jump around old episodes - like Back to the Future 2 with Marty going back to the same events he'd already been to.

Rory's "plastic" reincarnation is hugely important. Although he appeared to die in last week's episode, he was the only "victim" who didn't actually suffer any damage - he wasn't cut, didn't bleed and was also the only person who was attracted by the siren-song before he was "ill".

The "900 year old Doctor" is "not quite right". River Song had to correct almost everything he did when flying the Tardis. I think the "real" Doctor is the one who was shot and wasn't really dead - he was teleported out of the buring boat. That would also allow for "the Doctor" not having kissed River Song before without having to write her out - the "real" Doctor had kissed her.

Regarding the above - how could Canton Delware - of all people - be able to say catagorically that the shot Doctor was the real one - that had to be set up in advance whioh means the Doctor set something up with the deliberate intent of keeping the people closest to him in the dark.

And one silly one - just for conspiracy theorists...

Spoiler
When Amy is in the little girls room and talking to the "astronaut" girl, there's a painting of a dancer in a lock dress behind her. When the "astronaut" says "help me" - look at the painting and imagine it turned upside down (you may need to squint) - it's a painting of a Silence

Enough for now - thanks.

Or it could be just dimly lit to disguise the fact the old TARDIS set looks a bit rubbish in HD!

Apologies for a gaff in my previous post - unable to edit it now so try to correct it here.

I wrote that Rory wasn't cut or "damaged" - unlike the other "victims"on the pirate ship. I had forgotten that he got cut trying to catch Amy's cutlass.

That drops a brick on part of my daft theory - but most of it still stands up.

Well of course, how many lightbulbs do you think Ten took out with his little regeneration tantrum?

In that case, from the pics, it looks like the TARDIS during the 9th Doctors era. That was darker and low lit and had wires sprawling everywhere, it was only when Series 2 was announced that 10th Doctors TARDIS was built as a full set, before that they had to keep moving and rebuilding the TARDIS set during Series 1.

I agree with most of this but...

Surely if you were a little girl in an orphanage but you had a picture of you and your mother where she is looking down lovingly at you as in that picture, you'd have it up?
And I think the thing with the kiss was actually more about it'd be one of her last meetings, if not the last, before her final meeting with ten.

But Rory was cut! You hear the slice of Amy's sword as she swings and you see Rory flinch because he's been cut on the hand. Then he checks his other hand and sees the spot.

Did nobody else see that?

True good point but even when Tennant arrived there was one side of the wall that was only seen about twice & thats where the crew are so it's technically a 3 wall set i know its a dome.

PS - 10's TARDIS it may be, but I refuse to be impressed until we are back in at least 2's TARDIS. Troughton rocks.

And since the Upper Boat House is home to the current TARDIS console, the old one would've been treated like it was in Series 1 - packed up when not needed and brought out occasionally - unlike Series 2 when it was housed at the studios, like you said, in a more permanent way.

Hmmm, this looks quite retro if not quite Troughtenesque...

Well this is i think the first time an old tardis has been revisited so im impressed but i would LOVE to see Mcgann's gothic interior again even if it's flashback form.

Without getting too serious, I grew up in children's homes and your locker was your only "personal space" - you couldn't put anything on the wall. To be honest, at that age I'd probably have just had Dr Who posters anyway

As I said, neither the baby nor the woman had to be Amy - or the little girl. In fact, we don't even know for certain that Amy was in the little girl's room or that photo's belonged to her.

Here's a thought...

Amy is 21 (maybe 22 by now) so she was born roughly 20 years after that visit to the orphanage - making it at least possible that the "Amy" in the photo was her grandmother. If we go for the "little girl is Amy's baby" notion, that gives the potential for another sci-fi chestnut - Amy could be her own grandmother.

Not a theory I like but a possibility.

I reckon the Amy pregnancy thing is a red-herring - I can't imagine them taking a new born on the Tardis and the alternatives - Karen and Arthur leaving or Amy and Rory losing the baby are both unpleasent ideas.

The photo from the orphanage could just be a psychic picture?

Or am I being stupid?
