Just to make it fun, take a drink when:
1) One of the boys suggest "A-Team" as the team name
2) A candidate makes up new words (eg, carmically, retributed)
3) A fired candidate in the taxi says "You've not seen the last of me, I'm going on to bigger things
I'm sure there are plenty more but am struggling to think of them at the moment... any more suggestions from people?

That not one of them will have a suggestion for the team name even though they all have known for years its the first thing they will need to do. I have no idea why every single series they sit there thinking of a name as though they had no idea that task was coming.

Probably staged.

It's a constant source of amazement that most of the candidates seem to manage to get caught out in various ways that imply they've never even seen an episode of the apprentice.

If I were going for it I'd study the old programmes over and over and over again to make sure I was familiar with every nuance and make sure I exhibited the behaviour that gains Sugar's approval.

(Well, I say I would - I'd try - but I doubt it's that easy.)

I don't trust the producers and am convinced that the vast majority of the candidates are nowhere near as useless or stupid as they tend to come across. I reckon it's 5% inherent uselessness and 95% production company manipulation. (With obvious exceptions such as pantsman and Sophocles. )

The trouble with that is that Sugar changes his mind every week about what he's looking for.

One week he might "fire" someone for disagreeing with the Project Manager and the next week he might "fire" someone for NOT disagreeing with the PM

I know they're talking about the US version here but I believe the same principles may apply to our version. Interesting...

Can I take a drink because someone posted a smilie in a thread about The Apprentice? That would make life fun. I think I'll play that game, even if I'm playing by myself...
