Possible SJA replacement idea.

I was just thinking the BBC are going to want something to replace the Sarah Jane Adventures after the sad loss of Elisabeth Sladen, what about an animated spin off based around Jenny. SM could re-introduce Jenny in an episode to re-familiarise the audience with the character, then at the end of the ep have her go off in her space-ship, which sets up the series.

I'm not sure about an animated show, but I do like the idea of Jenny landing on earth and trying to live up to her old man's reputation.

Think Georgia Moffett might be a little busy right now!

It doesn't have to be Georgia Moffett, as she is a clone of the Doctor so I assume she has the ability to regenerate.

The Doctor's Daughter is a great spin-off idea - or indeed Capt Avery and the Space Pirates!

I think Hugh Bonneville is also extremely busy, albeit not due to child rearing. This is the problem with potential Who spin-offs: the guest stars tend to be high profile, busy people.

Nah, bring back Jo Jones and her family. Alien-experienced, eco-friendly and Earth defending

I think they'd have problems with Jo Jones just because the episode she was in set her up to be an international jet setter, bringing significant budget problems.

A completely different set of Joneses, but Reggie Yates has a CBBC history — it's a shame Leo Jones barely appeared and seemed to be quite useless.

How bout a recent lottery winner from Chiswick buying her Grandad a ruddy great house in Ealing?

I think that might be a bad move. I was watching the episodes she was in with my friend and her little cousins (8 and 4) and they got kinda freaked out by her face (I'm assuming surgery has been involved) and we had to turn it off to calm the younger one down... I know that sounds awful but...

I like the idea of Jenny.. But she could be a little risque for CBBC. As in I'd like her to be. The way she tricked the cute guard boy in the doctors daughter is the kinda thing she'd be a good character with and CBBC probably wouldn't allow it.. Make sense?

I would personally prefer 'The Ace Adventures' (or a sitcom called 'you've been Wilfed', featuring Bernard Cribbins)

THIS, think of how brilliant it could be, like a Live Action 1980's Saturday Morning Cartoon!

What's wrong with her son, Luke Smith taking over? Wouldn't look too out of place in the CBBC schedule.

Mind you...

Nightmare scenario 1.

Time Lord Acadamy - the young Doctor and Master at the Gallifrey equivalent of Hogwarts learning how to time travel and meeting lots of (not very) dangerous aliens in their TARDIS (Tacky And Really Dull In-line Skates).

Nightmare scenario 2.

It turns out that Sarah Jane was Amy's time head baby and she regenerates into a 15 year old kid.

Nightmare scenario 3.

Derek and the Friendly Dalek - Derek mends a broken Dalek and they have lots of spiffing adventures.

Nightmare scenario 4.

Ood one out - an ood starts at a new school and finds it hard to make new friends.

Luke did kinda quit the series last year though so I don't think the actor is likely to want to go from one foot out the door to suddenly a full time commitment as leader.

I like the idea of Donna investing her money in something worthwhile though. She might not remember the Doctor but her good nature must be in there somewhere.
Maybe she can go looking for alien trinkets and somehow "aquire" Mr Smith who through some plot maguffin is now the one responsible for making sure her brain doesn't fry every time she bumps into the alien of the week!

Thinking about it though Russell has moved to the US and seems to be doing fine over there, who knows if he intended Sarah Jane series 5 to be its last anyway?

How about Wilf and Jenny teaming up, traveling through time and space having adventures, with the Doctor becoming gradualy aware that there are other time travelers about.

You could explain that Donna and her mum, having won the lotto had moved to America and left Wilf behind. That way Wilf could fill Jenny in on many of the things that had happened.

There could even be a Doctor lite episode in Dr Who, where Amy and Rory team up with Wilf and Jenny without either party realising who the others are

Her innuendos... and her love of shooting things... and her conviction for homicide...

I hope they replace it with something along the lines of 'Flight of the Sparrows'....the adventures of Sally Sparrow and a bunch of children who happen upon a very old spaceship and get plunged into a 'netherworld' between time and space called the 'Nozone'.

The Adventures of Jenny, Wilf, and Santiago Jones

I'd like it to be Sally Sparrow and her boyfriend running an alien investigation company from their Video Shop.
