For a moment, I had to check I wasn't watching Comedy Central instead of BBC 1.

That was hilarious - I bet LS thought he'd heard it all until Ed came out with that!

I dont think he worked out what his second thing was gonna be before he said it, very much like his management style.

He was actually really sweet and endearing. I'm a bit disappointed he was fired but there really was no other choice because nobody else really messed up.

When Lawd Alan bursts out laughing and the contestants are trying to make a serious point, you know they're in trouble... classic quote though.

Yeah he's 25 isn't he!?

I too would have thought the 30's mark, maybe early 30's.

Brilliant and hilarious that line! I wonder if AS got the double meaning straight away or if he was just laughing at the unique desperteness of the excuse on the height factor alone?

It looks like Edward didn;t watch last years opening episode or if he did, he either didn't remember what happenned to the PM on that one or didn't take any notice from it.

Edward was almost a carbon copy of Dan was it from last years opening episode in terms of how he handelled it.

You know who he reminds me of? Paul Kemsley! One of the guys that used to do the interviews for AS too. He's hilarious as well, wish he was still doing the interviews and wish he could be following them around too!

Yes it was very funny
I'd find it hard not too laugh if i was another candidate in that boardroom. If that's the only thing the candidate can say that's going for them, then you know the game's up for the candidate.

He blew it. I couldn't believe how un polite he was as well to AS. Probably nerves actually but its funny how they never seem to learn from previous series.

Maybe they only select people who say they have never seen previous series or select them on that basis as much as possible?

Yes, the Mens team from series 1 are the only ones who got the strategy, to stay out of the boardroom you have to win & to win you have to perform as a team, & yet no other team has got this point of the strategy since, as there all busy backstabbing each other.

Isn't Dara about 6'7" or something pretty high? He should've stood up in YF just so we could see how short Ed really is

the guy was hilarious!

but glad he's gone, he didn't really have any more to add after the initial bluster...looked like he was going to cry!

When he came on Your Fired he looked teeny tiny next to Dara, I honestly didn't realise how short he was until that moment (speaking as a very vertically challenged person myself). But thank you Ed for a completely classic Apprentice line

As Lord Sugar is also quite short, I think Ed was trying to appeal to him as a fellow titch!

I must be mis-hearing things as I thought Ed said "I'm the youngest" then the guy on his right said "yeah I'm the shortest" kind of sarcastically to what Ed said. Or did Ed say both things?
