Humax PVR-9200T serious fault

Hi

Wondering if anyone can help. My Humax Duovision PVR recently started behaving very strangely. For example, the same programme would appear twice on the recorded programmes menu. Then, inexplicably, all 80 or so of the programmes were apparently deleted a few weeks ago. However, now when I record new programmes and start watching them and press the 'i' information button, the only info. I get is for one of the programmes that was apparently deleted a few weeks ago, and not the recorded programme I am currently watching. Rather annoying. Also when I go to the HDD section it says that 127.3GB is used and only 18.9 GB is free, even though I've only got 40 or so recorded/reserved programmes on there, which again suggests that perhaps 'ghosts' of old programmes are in the hard drive. Anyone know why the Humax is misbehaving like this and whether there is any solution, or should I just format it back to factory settings and accept I'm going to lose even more programmes? Any help much appreciated!

The symptoms indicate the disc file system is corrupted. The solution is a disc format but watch or copy any recordings you need to see first.

yup, happened to me once years ago, watch it all, then format. Mine never missed a beat for 4 years afterwards.

Before reformatting and doing a system reset make sure you have the latest firmware installed.
