Very bad decision
Rather arrogant of them to end it on a cliffhanger because there is no way in hell ABC will renew a show that can only earn as high as 1.0 and they will have been aware of this very early on.

TBH they'll probably end on a cliffhanger because they don't really know how to end the show. I feel they've made it up as they've gone along. But the only thing we really need to know, is why they are immortal.

I'm not surprised by that news.

I enjoyed the craziness of season one but I had to drag myself through season two so tedious did I find it at times. In fact I had made the decision not to bother with a season three had there been one.

Not exactly cancelled though if they decided to end themselves. It might have of been a case of jump before you're pushed to give a proper ending which is what all shows should get.

They didn't decide to end themselves so yes it is cancelled
ABC cancelled it but they had a enough time to craft a series finale. There were plans for a season 5 and the cast were under contract for it.

I wouldn't state a show has been cancelled if it hasn't been cancelled but instead came to a natural conclusion. I would have said Revenge to end after four seasons.

I think cancelled is the correct word to be fair. Usually shows that are "ended by production" are announced prior to the season starting. So eg. Parks and Rec, Parenthood, 2 and a Half Men, all had "last season of the show" announcements before the last seasons started. So people knew all along that it would finish after.

With Revenge it's obvious that they made this decision during the final season, so I'd place that in the "cancelled" section, even though it will probably have an actual final. Same as Forever, they have written it in a way that it's seen as a final because ABC is sure that it won't come back.

There's no way Revenge gone for a fifth season. Ending it with this season makes sense.

History, A&E and Lifetime have joined together to produce a remake of Roots

E Entertainment have greenlit their second original scripted drama. It's called The Arrangement. It's been described as a modern day Cinderella, but with a dark and hollywood twist.

Any news on Forever?

I know it's pretty much a certainty to be cancelled but hoping against hope it's not.

If it is, I'm happy with that ending. Would have liked to see Henry tell Jo the whole story but as it is I enjoyed the entire series.

Yes it was a good season ending and a so so series ending if it doesn't come back.

All the remaining renewals and cancellations are announced next week

As has been mentioned in the previous posting renewals and cancellations are next week for just about everyone, so could I be so bold as to request that a new thread is begun to allow everyone to join in with the news of their favourite shows demise or continuation.

It would be an ideal time to do so.

I don't see why people can't just go on here and look to see what shows are renewed or cancelled. It wouldn't take long and that is the whole point of this thread anyway. Plus DS will report them on their main page anyway.

What you're asking for already happens on this thread and has done almost since it's inception. I can certainly understand the thinking behind a new thread, but this thread has long been the focus for people wanting to find out about the fate of shows.

Rather pointless really.

Im glad "Forever" got a good ending, I was worried it would end on a massive cliffhanger.
Along with Stalker, these have been 2 shows that I have thoroughly enjoyed a lot. A blooming shame the ratings weren't what they could be, as they are miles better than a lot of high raters.

Made my peace with both of them being 1 Season Wonders long ago, but it would be nice to see Forever return, even though its 0.00000000000000000001% likely, It has loads of potential.

Agent Carter is my Number 1 show I'm worried about, other than that I'm not that fussed as the rest I'm interested in are I'm assured safe or all ready renewed (Agents of Shield, Nashville, Scandal, Person of Interest, Once Upon A Time, Walking Dead, Game Of Thrones, Flash, Better Call Saul, House of Cards, Daredevil, Vampire Diaries, The Originals, Under The Dome)

Well my idea has gone down like a lead balloon, I just thought as it is that time of year it might be an idea to have a fresh thread.

Seems elsewhere on the forums it is al most randomly decided when a new thread on an ongoing subject is required. I just thought now was as good a time as any.

The mods will close one thread when it reaches around 400 pages. It's more to do with the forum software than anything. I don't think it was a bad idea, just an unecessary one as this thread is already quite active.
