So i suppose The CW won't be picking up Constantine then

Reign is now on fridays. Ouch. It will do worse there as it does on thursdays.

Containment and Crazy Ex girlfriend sound rubbish.

I doubt i will like Legends of tomorrow as I didn't like Arrow and The Flash. Well i say i don't like, i mean they just weren't for me.

Yeah there's nothing for me on The CW I watched Reign Season 1 but gave up on it, Hart of Dixie I liked but it had run its course. Really since Gilmore Girls finished I haven't been interested in much of their programming.

Reign was a slow grower but i love it. Other than that, i only watch Jane the virgin and iZombie. At one point, i used to watch nearly everything The CW aired.

I imagine Legends of Tomorrow will fill in when The Flash or Arrow go on hiatus. Not sure where Containment and The 100 could go, BATB I imagine summer again.

I do think The CW is positioning Mondays as a comedy night with two comedy dramas. I'm sure if Crazy Ex-Girlfriend fails, Whose Line is it Anyway will fill the gap nicely. I wonder whether we might see the return of sitcoms to the network especially now CBS has no comedies when Supergirl debuts.

It's such a shame Dead People and Cheerleader Death squad were past over. They sounded awesome. Especially as Death Squad is by Mark Cherry, so it would of been as soapy as can be.

Even Constantine deserves a placing over Containment and Crazy Ex Girlfriend. Containment is a show that is being done to death on nearly every network going

Watched the trailers available and loved Supergirl, Code Black and Life in Peices. Not sure about Angel from Hell, that might get annoying.

This is the following from the CW PRESS CONFERENCE

DC Legends of Tomorrow and Containment will launch in January or February start. The CW has not decided what their timeslots will be

DC Legends of Tomorrow will have crossovers with The Flash and Arrow.

CW president Mark Pedowitz laughed off rumors about Constantine moving to the CW saying, "There’s also a rumor around that I will go play in the NBA."

The 100 will launch in midseason, though there is no timeslot or premiere date yet. Pedowitz is hopeful that having the entire series available on Netflix will allow new viewers to discover it and get caught up by the tie of the premiere. Citing the show' critical acclaim he said he hopes the show will "have its Breaking Bad moment."

Reign will move to Fridays because Fridays are an older-skewing night that may be a better fit for the show and, "it was getting handled pretty heavily by Scandal."

Despite the departure of star Nina Dobrev the network has no plans to end The Vampire Diaries. Said Pedowitz, "We had a show run 11 years based on 2 brothers called Supernatural.”

The Winchester brothers are also likely to stick around for a while. According to Pedowitz, "As long as the ratings hold and the boys ant to do it, we’re in...We have no intention of this being its last season.”

Though it was not listed on the new schedule, there will be new episodes of Whose Line Is It Anyway in midseason

Sounds to me, THE CW will rinse everything they can from Supernatural and The Vampire Diaries, when they are both so clearly past their sell by date.

I can't see The Vampire Diaries surviving without Nina, I think with Supernatural, if either Jensen Ackles or Jared Padalecki decide to call it a day, they'll do a final season.

Everything I heard from people not associated with the show said it was dead in the water. I'd be surprised if it gets picked up by anybody else.

Reign is rumoured to have been picked up for political reasons (it's one of only a few CBS-distributed shows), and because of the Netflix deal. If either of those is true, perhaps they aren't especially bothered about it's performance.

Hi For any 100 fans out there like me there is other reason the 100 might be delayed. I will spoiler tag for those you are not cought up.
Spoiler
The actress that plays lexa is in the walking dead spinoff. Maby the 100 writers have plans laxa and Clarkeif she is filming the walking dead she won't be able to do 100. I might be completely wrong about the reason but if laxa is in season 3 then makes sense for the delay

The CW have repeatedly said that they're happy to keep Supernatural going until one or both of the leads decide they don't want to continue anymore. It seems likely to be a show that will get a proper final season/send off of some description. Although at this point that could still be years away given that its held up remarkably well.

Constantine was never going to land on The CW. They don't have the money or real estate for a fourth DC show this season particularly not when said show is a not very good version of Supernatural. If the show is to continue (and its not going to) then its saviour would come from cable or streaming not broadcast and for that to work it would have needed to have been a better show.

Nearly every other network has a series about a group of pandemic survivors trying to stay alive in a city wide quarantine? I must have missed those...

Crazy Ex-Girlfriend (unfortunate title aside) is one of the more interesting pilot pick ups of the season. I'm interested to see how effectively they redevelop it as an hour long broadcast comedy drama as opposed to the half hour premium cable comedy it was. I think its a good fit for The CW on paper though and has potential to pair nicely with Jane.

I'd also just point out that The CW needs stuff that isn't genre and/or action on their schedule. They need some sense of balance otherwise the network would just eat itself.

Comedy does exist on The CW with Jane the Virgin and now Crazy Ex-Girlfriend and Whose Line is it Anyway rate well enough and repeat well enough and is cost effective. The only thing missing from the schedule is sitcoms and they've been using CW Seed to develop potential half hour shows.

There may not be shows totally like Containment but the whole "a group of survivors or people come or work together to stay alive or save the world from something"

That is essentially what
Helix, Z Nation, Revolution, Under The Dome and a few others are about. Take away a few differences, they are all essentially the same.

So yeah, you must of missed those.

You can be so bloody rude and arrogant when you want to be and several times I have to think twice before i post over your remarks.. Thank god we can add members to a block/ignore list.

I agree. I may have articulated what I was saying badly – it was more in reference to them not picking stuff like Cheerleader Death Squad (which was a terrible script at the very least) up.

That's an exceptionally broad description. Its also bizarre that you'd pick-up on this particular theme when next season alone one network will air three medical dramas. Add in CBS and ABC and that number goes up to five medical dramas of which there's very little in the way of difference. And of course there's the endless parade of cop shows/procedurals. Of the new dramas picked up this season I would guess that at least 8 of them are going to fall into the case of the week mould and more than that have the potential to be just that.

Only not one of the shows you named is about a group of pandemic survivors trying to stay alive in a city wide quarantine...

Helix was about... well I'm not even sure what Helix was about in the end. It got lost in endless nonsensical mythology tracks that made no real sense. But something about CDC investigations in remote locations is the backbone I guess.

Z Nation is about the survivor of a zombie apocalypse

Revolution is about the world after electricity

Under the Dome is about a town being cut off from the rest of the world by aliens maybe...

I'm afraid I'm not the poster who has a documented history of being rude or arrogant towards others.

The CW trailers are now on their YouTube page. They all look surprisingly good.

The Supergirl trailer did look good but it is on the wrong network. I think it will be axed by the end of the year because it won't get anymore than a 1.4 at best. If it was on CW it would probably get a 1.0 and survive. (Early predictions).
