From Dusk Till Dawn renewed for a third season
I might give this show another go.

It's a fun show, this season is a bit grittier than the first, more swearing and nudity.

FX have cancelled Married after two seasons. Poor Judy Greer. Apart from Archer, she had no luck with television shows.

Not surprised, this season is just meandering along with nothing happening. It also didn't help that Jenny Slate moved on to other projects.

Anything on Longmire yet?

No. Netflix are odd with their renewals. They can either be really quick or take a while.

Damn. Yet another programme I watch cancelled!

It has gone downhill this series though.

Truth Be Told's episode order has been reduced to 10 episodes. Production on episode 10 is already underway.

The way that networks are so afraid to use the word Cancelled this season is slightly funny in a way. No one wants to be the first network to cancel a show.

Could be that USA network is going to cancel Satisfaction, they seem to be burning it off as they have released all of season 2 at once.

That or they are copying what NBC did with Aquarius and Starz with Da Vinci's Demons

The Grinder given a full season order.

Talks are happening about more episodes for Grandfathered, but it's rumoured John Stamos's DUI case could be an issue. He's looking at a six month stint in jail.

Life In Pieces given a full season

HBO have reversed their renewal on The Brink. Originally given a second season back in the summer, the show is now cancelled.

That's interesting. I wonder if it was more to do with cast availability and scheduling ?

HBO have never seemed to be that bothered with ratings performance in the past.

I agree

Especially as Enlightened, Looking and Getting On rated much lower than The Brink and all managed a second season.

There is perhaps more to it than what we do not know. I will be shocked if it is to do with cast availability as actors sign 5-7 year season deals, so legally, they have committed to doing the show and can't choose to not do another season just because they are busy with something else.

That's dissapointing, the show had a great cast, and seemed to get better as the series went on

They mentioned this on spoilertv but maybe low ratings + low/medium buzz = cancellation?

The Brink's ratings were no different to what Girls earns a week and that's still around nearly 5 seasons later. As well as earning triple what Enlightened, Looking, The Comeback and Getting On ever earned.

Ash Vs Evil Dead renewed for a second season, just days before it premieres. Brilliant. It has been one of my most anticipated shows of this year. At least i can watch it knowing it's safe.

Unless starz do a u turn and cancel it later like HBO has just done and I think I remember another show recently suffering the same late cancellation after renewal fate.

VH1 did it to Hindsight back in the summer.

Del Rey did it to Matador last year

That's what I was thinking as well. Girls and Veep are both critically acclaimed and have huge amounts of "buzz" but The Brink hasn't really hit home on either front really so perhaps it was as simple as HBO deciding not to bother ?

Grandfathered joins its timeslot mate The Grinder with a full season order.

This leaves Code Black as the only new show that's fate is still somewhat up in the air right now.

And NBC have taken another step in cancelling The Player. The Jennifer Lopez drama Shades of Blue will be taking its Thursday 10PM slot in January.

The Brink is also noticeably more expensive than all of the shows you've mentioned. It needed to earn its keep by either bringing more eyes to the table or picking up 'buzz' and likely awards momentum (or better yet both).

Has anyone got any idea when Brooklyn 99 returns to channel 4/E4 for season 3?

Also is Skorpion season 2 getting an airing on ITV 2?
