The fourth movie did what?

I wasn't expecting the series to come back after the way it ended. And the 2nd season went in the wrong direction compared to the 1st season.

Not surprised tbh. I can't remember if I actually watched last week's episode or not. I mean, 10/10 for imagination: an action thriller show based on casino gambling. 0/10 for execution: an action thriller show based on casino gambling that was going nowhere. I did like it when Snipes went all martial arts mode - there wasn't enough of those scenes IMO. The police side of the show was boring and unnecessary. It would've been better if they had just focused on the dark mystery of this unknown but powerful gambling syndicate and unravelling its history and real purposes. I can't be bothered over Alex's wife - I never do in situations where a story begins with a pair of coupled-up characters, one of them dies/kidnapped 5 mins into this brand new show, and the other half spends most of his/her time looking for answers and pines for them episodes on end. If I'm not given enough time to invest emotionally in and care about this dead/missing spouse/girlfirend/loveofmylife character, I'm often left not caring iota about them and getting more and more annoyed with a script and a character that expects me to w/o justified reasons.

The show in general did not interest me so if it had been a massive hit and was renewed, I do not think i would of watched it anyway. I am not keen on action thrillers anyway.

Cedar Cove has been cancelled after three seasons. It was cancelled well over a week ago. But in a weird way, Hallmark have not confirmed this or given any press release but the show's EP and cast members have confirmed it. This is a surprise as it rates very well. Hallmark are famous for their television films so fingers crossed they give it a good send off in form of a movie. I am a bit gutted. I like this show. Nothing ground breaking or original but it's comfortable television.

Shame about 'The Player'. I quite liked it, but it had cancellation written on it from the start.
There was just something off about it.

Shame about 'Cedar Cove' too.

So how many episodes has it got now? I didn't see what the original number was.

Also how many episodes are there for season one of Supergirl?

I thought that was struggling in the ratings.

They both received initial 13 episode orders. Supergirl is the only new CBS show awaiting confirmation of a back order.

It seems this is only a filler order as it is not for a complete season. So similar to Stalker which also did not get a full back order (9 episodes) and was cancelled.

CBS need something until Criminal Minds Beyond Borders is ready and this means they can air new episodes rather than repeats.

Code Black now has 18 episodes in total
Supergirl still has the initial 13 episode order

The only thing that surprises me about that is that it took NBC this long to cancel it! It was getting 0.7, yet remained on the air for weeks! I thought the premise of the programme was ludicrous, but found it weirdly entertaining.

What’s funny is that the 2 leads from StrikeBack, which ended earlier this year, both went on to star in new NBC shows. Philip Winchester starred in ‘The Player’ - probably the biggest flop of this year’s new shows, and Sullivan Stapleton started in ‘Blindspot’ - probably the biggest hit of this year’s new shows. Talk about contrasts!

It's just a new thing this season. Reduce episode orders, keep it on the air and deny the show is a flop for a while. But it goes to show how things have changed compared to a few years ago. If a show flopped, it was taken off the air, production was shut down and the unaired episodes would normally surface on a dvd years later.

Cheers for that. Leaving aside eps four and five being swapped in the running order, one of the guides I looked at had this weeks Supergirl listed as 5/8, I thought only 8 episodes sounded wrong somehow.

That's probably 5 of 8 before the Christmas/New Year hiatus though, which is the only known certainty at this time. Given that Supergirl is still waiting on a further order the guides can't really say whether it is 5 of 13, 5 of 18 or 5 of 23 for the full season.

I don't normally report on kids shows but it's for nostalgia

Hey Arnold is coming back for a tv movie. If the movie works out well, it will return as a series. The movie will finally reveal what happened to Arnold's parents. Something that bugged me my whole childhood.

Crazy Ex Girlfriend given 5 extra episodes. Now a total of 18
iZombie given 6 extra episodes. Now a total of 19

I personally think iZombie is a show that works with small episode prders. So they want to conjure up some standalone episodes to pace it out.

CW announce midseason schedule. TO and TVD have been moved to friday's. Reign will go on a long break.. The 100 and Legends Of Tomorrow will occupy the thursday slots. No news on when containment will air. Likely late spring/early summer.

I personally think they should of cancelled CEG and replace it with 100. Move The originals to friday with Reign. Keep TVD and pair it with LOT on thursday.

Not too keen on the idea of iZombie getting loads of 'case of the week' filler episodes. It's almost all 'case of the week' as it is, but to get filler episodes on top of that could potentially put me off it alltogether.

Obviously if they feature episodes with Aly Michalka in her lycra exercise gear then I probably wouldn't care if it was a 96 episode season

Moving shows to a Friday is a really bad sign isn't it? I remember when it happened to Ugly Betty and that new Friday slot essential signed its cancellation. It's not looking good for TVD now

iZombie is too serialized as it is. It needs some balance. 19 episodes of serialized nonsense. No thanks. I will most likely drop it if it carries on like that. That's why i dropped SHIELD, Grimm and Gotham. and every supernatural show. That's why that genre of television is an awful state as it is.

Essentially yes, but i don't think TVD is in danger though. I am certain it will get an eight season. They just likely want The 100 and LOT to succeed and that is the only timeslot they have available. The Originals rates lower than TVD but it's a season away from syndication.

I think it more to do with the attention span of the audience and their preference to arse about with tablets during the show instead of actually watching it properly.

Regards
