FOX have signed a deal with Sylvester Stallone on a television series about Rambo. The series will be called Rambo: New Blood and will focus on Rambo's son. Sylvester will be an executive producer. No word on whether he will appear in the show.

Very happy at that news. I wonder if any UK broadcaster will pick it up now?

That just sounds like a very bad idea.

Channel 5 has closed a deal with NBCUniversal International Distribution to acquire the exclusive first run UK broadcast rights to 13 episode event series Heroes Reborn for their digi-net 5*, TVWise has learned. The series, which is currently airing on NBC in the United States, will premiere on 5* in 2016.

I was expecting Heroes Reborn to be broadcast on a channel with a bigger profile than 5*, but I guess it hasn't performed well in the US so that might be part of the reason behind it.

The Blacklist is produced by NBCUniversal and is broadcast on NBC, so getting a 4th season to make it a valuable syndication programme was a good bet, but thanks for confirming. I’m really enjoying the 3rd season so far.

Oh of course. Any show that gets a third season is always certain for a fourth. It's a no brainer.

and as for Into The Badlands, AMC have confirmed the show isn't renewed and that it was wishful thinking on a cast member's part. But considering it's ratings, it will be renewed eventually.

Not always, it's only really an almost certainty if its produced and broadcast by the same company. If its produced and broadcast by different companies there's still a chance it could be cancelled after its 3rd season by the network, but I'd imagine the studio would then try and find another network to get it to that golden syndication mark.

It does seem more and more common that programmes are produced and broadcast by the same company these days though, in my opinion anyway.

Homeland is their highest rated show. Of course it was going to be renewed. No shock there.

In a surprising move, Wayward Pines has been given a second season. FOX previously confirmed the show was a one off series. But they have obviously decided to change their mind. It returns in the summer.

Have to admit, it's a shame they gave in and renewed Wayward Pines. It should really have been one and done.

Yeah, I'm with you guys on Wayward Pines, no need to bring it back. Really enjoyed it as a one-off and I reckon that's how I'll keep it and not bother with the second season.
