Very happy about The Librarians. It's sticks out like a sore thumb on TNT but it's funny, harmless and uncomplicated viewing.

NBC have cancelled Best Time Ever after one season.
I'm a little surprised about this. Although the critics didn't really like it, it achieved average ratings and I'd imagine it was cheap to produce (compared to an hour of scripted drama).

I'm sure Ant and Dec can survive on their ITV pay cheque though.

According to tvbythenumbers, it was an expensive show to make and while the ratings were good, they were not good enough. But NBC are still wanting to work with Neil on another project.

Saving Hope renewed for a fifth season.

Thanks for the info, I just don't see how NBC can say Best Time Ever was an expensive show to make. It must have been cheaper than something like The Blacklist or Blindspot.

Not that I'm really bothered by its cancellation, I don't think it recreated the enjoyment of the original very well.

The UK buyers saw the CEG pilot in May. UK buyers saw the pilot for Galavant in May 2014. Sure, sales to the UK could still be made sometime in the future. But the pilots for both series were strong enough that they should have been bought -- especially over a lot of crap from America that UK buyers have bought instead.
Wasn't Heroes overlooked as well until it became a surprise hit in America? IIRC S1 premiered on Syfy before the beeb came in for it.

I thought Agent X wasn't long for this world. There was just something missing about it. The best thing was the theme tune which reminded me of an 80s spy action show.

She was over-rated anyway. She will be remembered for that scene. Which lets face it, any woman could have played..

I had agent X on my radar...dont think I will bother with it now.

Not a TV show cancellation but a website which I know some here (including myself) use frequently for updates and latest news etc...

TV Wise is to cease. Link.

I'm surprised at that. It's a site I have used. But it seems the main guy wants to do other things....

She was nominated for an Oscar, and actually won a Golden Globe, for her performance in Casino.

Shame, it was often a good website for TV news, something that the 'new' DigitalSpy site is really failing at now (i still can't get the main page to work properly with my browsers!)

Definitely good news. I hope they give the show warning if they ever do decide to end it, so they can give it a proper ending.

I watched the first couple of episodes, but held back in case it was cancelled as too many shows I liked have been chopped.

Will rewatch from ep 1 now.....

They have also given second seasons to 'Red Oaks' and 'Hand of God'.
Five out of six of this years pilot shows have also been picked up to series.

Really enjoyed Hand of God. Defiintely want to see what happens next. The man in the High Castle bored me. Gave up after 4 eps as the main characters were so uninspiring.

Good call, I actually forgot about that film. You are right she was good in that. However if all you can point one is one film in her long career, then she wasnt really that good.

Although this article does throw some doubt on the credibility of the golden globes.

The Vikings episode order increased from 16 to 20
10 episodes will air early next year, while the second half will air later in the year

In a slight odd move, Cinemax have ordered a script for The Knick. The show was originally presented to the network as a two year story, and Cinemax are currently unsure on the show's future. They have ordered for a script to be written for the potential third season.

The 2010 spy/intel drama, Rubicon, which I thought was really good was cancelled after 1 season. Just re-watching it over the last 2 days, and it holds up well.. Very little in the way of physical action.- just one big fight for life and a sadistic torture scene, but plenty of planning, discussions, secret meetings, rooms bugged and looking over ones shoulder. There was a lot of emphasis on characterization, but clearly not enough action/adventure for American viewers who don't like to think too hard.

Because of the subject matter, it probably would have only worked best for 1 season, but that wasn't the intention of the producers.
