Somewhat surprising after a disappointing first story and low ratings. Perhaps it managed to do well catch up services?
If it were anyone other than Ryan Murphy producing the show, Fox would gave canned it after one season. His stock is still high there.

Wow, I'm a little surprised, the Marvel thing must really be floating some boats at ABC, [...]
Both are owned by Disney - you do the math!

I am hoping for Chicago Coffee House, a hard look into one of Chicago's most popular coffee places and the trials and tribulations of coffee makers and their private lifes. I smell an emmy already.
Seems more 'crossover friendly' than the Libraries option.

Just think of all those PD/Fire/Med characters who will be popping in for a latté and a doughnut

I'm still holding out for Chicago Sanitation - tagline "We're the guys who are gonna clean up this city!"

No need, someone thinks it makes sense, probably an accountant.

That's a good renewal, as it's a quality series and very enjoyable as far as I'm concerned.

I am worried about the lack of news of Master Of None. Still no second season renewal.

Finding Carter cancelled after two seasons
No loss really. Even though it was aimed at an MTV age audience - which is an age group I'm definitely not in! - I did enjoy it initially. However I gave up eventually during the second series because the storylines didn't seem going anywhere interesting.

This suggests there's no need to worry quite yet. Fingers crossed something gets confirmed soon.

"Though a second season pickup has not been made official by Netflix, insiders tell Variety that the series is all but renewed, as final negotiations are being worked out with Universal TV, the studio behind “Master of None.” Both the studio and Netflix have declined to comment, but a Season 2 announcement is expected in the near future."

It was an excellent series and a shame they cancelled it.

Good news they did give it a reasonable closure (as in could have carried on but fairly satisfying if not) - so keep watching.

Jessica Jones renewed for a second season
God knows why, it was dire, poor scripts, weird looking actress and boring sex scenes.

Maybe because I'm female that I'm not getting the point of sex scenes in Marvel stuff, but my partner felt the same, were they an added bonus to entice the dirty Mac brigade?

And the awful Tennent just stank, of all the things to get a second outing this should not have been one of them.

Finally someone with my thoughts exactly. I just don't get all the love for these comic book characters.

You’re not alone.
I have absolutely no problem with sex or nudity in a programme if it’s appropriate, but I hate it when it’s added in for no real reason.
I felt this about Strike Back (although it did tone it down a bit in later seasons), it was an action programme, it didn’t need sex and nudity (sometimes full frontal) in just about every episode. However, in Californication I had no objections to the explicit sex and nudity as it played a major part in the plot and life of the main character.
I’m a guy by the way.

How explicit were the sex scenes in Jessica Jones? Was there actual nudity? If so, then I’d say you probably right, it was just added in to be ‘adult’ and controversial.

I haven't seen Jessica Jones yet but there are two reasons why I still haven't checked it out

I haven't liked any of the comic book shows that have come out of the last few years and I don't really rate most of Netflix's original shows anyway.

There was no nudity and they weren't added in for the sake of it, they were there to show how damaged of a character she was.

Good stuff. I don't watch Law and Order but have enjoyed the crossover episodes with the Chicago universe, and I've really liked Chicago Med so far.

If there wasn’t actually any nudity in Jessica Jones then it’s not as bad, in my opinion. Strike Back had full frontal nudity for no other reason than to re-enforce it’s ‘bloke-y’ appeal, it simply didn’t need it.

Strike Back was a Sky Co-Production with Cinemax, without the nudity I doubt it would have been co financed.
