Strike Back was a Sky Co-Production with Cinemax, without the nudity I doubt it would have been co financed.
Yes, very true, although it doesn’t change the fact that the programme itself didn’t really need the sex/nudity. Although ‘Hunted’ was a co-production between the BBC and Cinemax and that had very little nudity (nearly all of which was edited out of the BBC version). But, needless to so, it was cancelled which proves your point (to be honest I didn’t think it was very good anyway).

Anyway, I’ve probably taken this thread off topic a bit.

Bloody hell, that's a pretty big commitment.

In pure storyline terms, Piper's sentence is only 15 months, so I suppose they've got the scope to keep things fairly fresh.

Unless her sentence is extended or they continue the show without her.

The first three seasons have covered about a year so far.

I suspect they'll extend her sentence in that case, although with 3 seasons confirmed, there's scope there to have a multi-season arc I suppose. Maybe season six and seven could cover the last few months leading up to her release.

I hope they can improve the storylines, last season was very poor IMO.

Indeed. I only liked half of season 2 anyway and none of season 3. Season 4 is make or break for me.

I thought season 3 was very poor indeed. In fact, I gave up part way through due to it seeming to just meander and go nowhere. It would take a lot of improvement in storylines for me to start watching season 4 I must say, much less any season beyond that.

Shades of blue renewed
Surprised at the early renewal. It's ratings have been up and down and the recent episode scored a poor 1.1

I loved the first episode but after that I thought the show went quite soapy and not very convincing. Disappointing for me because I had been looking forward to it, given its cast of actors.

Never mind, not too long before Vinyl starts which I think should, and will be excellent!

Ever since I first heard about it around the middle of last year I've been waiting for it to be premiered.

It's not very often a show really grabs me, but this certainly ticks all the boxes from what I've read and seen!

Not surprising since the creators were stepping down and being the seventh season, contracts for the actors were going to expire. It's had a great run, wonder if Madam Secretary will be moved up to 9pm next season or will they launch a new drama at 9pm.

You know, I'm actually glad. I love the show but it's time. S7 is already 100 times better than S6. I hope they give Alicia a fitting send off, and I pray to every God under the sun that there's a Kalinda comeback.

Julianna hinted in a speech she did weeks ago she was without a job soon and the show has been allowed to get away with poor demo's for the last three years. Plus I believe the show had a seven year plan anyway.

Sorry to hear that. I have really enjoyed the show and the seventh season has started well.

Angel from Hell has been cancelled and has been taken off the air immediately. 2 Broke Girls will take over it's time-slot.

I would not of thought averaging between 1.3-1.4 would be enough to be taken off the air so quick. Then again, they did the same to The Millers and that was only slightly higher.

I agree, I wouldn’t have thought averaging 1.3 and 1.4 would result in it being removed from the schedules, just a possible candidate for cancellation at the end of the season. I guess CBS just feel they have sitcoms that can do better in that slot.

Jane Lynch was still promoting the programme on the talk show circuit until late last week (I saw her on Conan on Thursday).
