Yes as far as I know Smash has been cancelled but the ending of S2 is at least planned.

Smash - Not officially cancelled , but it has about 0% chance of a renewal. If something is moved to Saturday it's a "soft cancel" and there probably won't be announcement, it just won't appear on next season's schedule
The Lying Game (season 2 premières May 13th 1PM on 5*, with a new episode weekdays 1PM afterwards) - Neither renewed nor cancelled by ABC family. But with the last episode scheduled to air in the US May 12th, I imagine you'll get a decision soon...

The final episode of season 2 aired a few weeks back in the US (12th March).

Crap, misread it.

Maybe ABC will mention it at their upfront...

Futurama's been binned again - this time by Comedy Central. Groening remains hopeful that another network might pick it up, but I reckon his best bet is to try to get Netflix to fund it or something like that.

Shame, because I adore Futurama, and some of the newer episodes are amongst the best they've ever done.

Logically you might think that but in reality no such limitation exists. BBC television could easily buy the show in commercially from BBC Worldwide if they wanted it. Income from other world sales would still contribute to BBCW profits and eventually be returned to the BBC.

Temple Street's other show Being Erica wound up on E4 (and Orphan Black stars the woman who played Dr Tom's daughter) so it might end up there.

Apparently the straight to DVD specials sold well, so they might be able to persuade Fox to let them do another one...

Deception binned after one season, not really a surprise and was inevitable, hopefully its the start of NBC announcing some more renewals and cancellations before next week

TNT has picked up a couple of pilots for full, 10-episode seasons. Both shows will start in Summer 2014.

Agree that Molina was good but sometimes you can stretch a franchise too far. L&O: Trial By Jury got canned after one season as well.

This isn't a surprise at all given the ratings but it's a shame as I thought it was a very good show that would have grown given time. The only good thing is that they stuck with it through the full 11 episode run so us viewers got some sort of resolution to the murder mystery.

Looks like the Revenge inspired primetime soap bubble has already burst between the cancellation of Deception and the failure to pick up Hatfields and McCoys and The Secret Lives of Husbands and Wives. Revenge is getting a new showrunner so next season could be make or break for that show too.

I'm interested in seeing Sleepy Hollow but the other FOX shows don't interest me at all. I'm looking forward to seeing what ABC pick up for their drama slate as they have an interesting mix of pilots to pick from like Wonderland, Reckless, Betrayal and Gothica.

I'm not surprised by this but I am a bit disappointed... I really enjoyed it.

NBC has picked up Crisis, About a Boy, Believe(JJ Abrams), and Sean Saves The World so far.

I do hope so, but I still think the best chance is Netflix or maybe Amazon. The stumbling block is the expense of making an animated show, along with the expanded time frame - South Park being the obvious exception.

I know that Groening and Cohen want to carry on, so if they can find a way I think they'll do it. Or maybe they'll make the proper Futurama film they've been threatening for years!

More of a surprise since it lasted 2 seasons.
