I read somewhere a while back that the Simpsons might be finishing soon.

Hope not, I'm in love with Marge!

It was renewed for two more seasons a little while ago. So The Simpsons will be around until at least 2018. Plus you need to remember The Simpsons are like a year ahead in production and are probs already making season 28 as we speak.

Most of the shows I watch have now been renewed. I'm just hoping against hope my favourite new show Code Black gets a renewal.

But there was no cliff hanger so if it doesn't then at least I'm not left hanging.

Still no news about when Person of Interest will be shown?

Sometime in April, assuming you mean at US Pace.

Where did you read that?

I've seen a few sites say it *may* be back in May but I'm not holding out much hope.

At this point I'll be surprised if it's shown at all.

Epguides com.

They sometimes get it wrong, but it is the only info I've seen so far.

I had a Google and most sites said it *may* return in May.

But obviously I've no idea of how reliable the sites are.

It's such a shame. There's 13 episodes and they can't find an hour in their schedules to show it? It's not getting any more so just for the love of God put it on and let fans enjoy the final shout.

Yeah CBS Havn't announced any date for it to air as yet

Its looking likely its going to get a summer burnoff, likely starting late May or early June but really nobody knows and it seems CBS arn't even sure yet when they plan to air it

I'd be OK with a summer burn off. The last season was really poor so I would like them to have enough time to give it the proper send off it deserves.

I really hope we get the apocalyptic scenario we were promised last season but never got.

I actually enjoyed last season. The episode Shaw left was IMHO particularly good (mostly because I really wasn't expecting it as I stay away from spoilers and had no idea SS was pregnant).

They knew before the ending it wasn't coming back and shooting finished a few months back so I hope it gets a fitting ending.

Me too, i love it its so good with likable characters. its not too soapy and i find the trauma scenes quite realistic. I'm praying for series 2 after losing the fab Critical.

I've started watching Castle and I'm kind of disappointed to hear it's probably getting cancelled this year

If you are still at the start of the show, I don't blame you but by the time you get to the latest season you may not feel that way.

I wouldn't be too disappointed. Eight seasons is a wonderful run for any show.

You won't be once you get to season 8. It's great fun till the next to last episode of season 6, but since then, well even big fans know it's time to call it quits.

Enjoy it, infact I envy you, seeing it with fresh eyes.

Actually, I didn't even realise the last episode of Code Black was the final one of the season. It didn't have that end of season feeling.

Code Black started slowly but once it picked up it turned into one of my favourite new shows of this season. I too hope it is renewed - it has a good cast and the production makes it feel fresh for a medical show (unlike Chicago Med which I bailed on after 3 episodes)

The Boss of CBS has confirmed in an interview that they plan to renew all their current freshman shows for second seasons.

So while nothing has been officially renewed yet. That means

Code Black, Supergirl, Limitless and Life In Pieces are a lock for a renewal.

CBS still have Rush Hour and the new criminal minds spin-off to premiere.

The network will also also see conclusions of Mike and Molly, Person of Interest and The Good Wife in the next few months.

Elementary and CSI Cyber are also contenders to be cancelled by the end of the season.

Interesting.
No mention of Hawaii Five-0 or Blue Bloods in your post, does that mean it looks like they might be getting 7th season renewals?

I would say so, yes. They are both still performing well.

I’m always pleasantly surprised when Blue Bloods and Hawaii Five-0 get renewed, and I hope it’ll be the same again this year.

The key to their success seems to be that that have identified a loyal following on Friday nights. Their ratings on any other night would be questionable, but by Friday night standards they are good and consistent – and I’m assuming that’s why CBS renew.

Having said that, I suspect the cast’s contracts are for 7 seasons, so that might be the end of the road for both programmes as I suspect CBS won’t be willing to renegotiate for only good and consistent Friday night ratings. But 7 seasons would be an incredible run by today’s standards, in fact the current 6 seasons is an incredible run by today’s standards.
