Supernatural has provided reliable monster-based entertainment. It has kept up a good standard though I'm not sure it has ever been brilliant.

Castle is now very expensive from a talent point of view and yes lots of ABC shows have flopped, but Castle has lost about half its viewers in 2 years. 20% this season alone.

Indeed. But ABC can easily afford to put more money up for another season of Castle, because they will make money back through syndication. Procedural dramas like Castle are always the ones who do better in reruns and are long term money makers.

They are very very lenient these days.
If this had been several years ago, a show like Crazy Ex Girlfriend would of been cancelled within weeks of being on the air.

With the CW Warner Bros shows, if one or more of the streaming services like the show that makes a difference. Carrie Diaries got a second season because Hulu wanted it

I bow to your greater knowledge, but my concern is who's going to be left of the original cast. If it ain't got the whole cast I hope the end on a high note.

CBS haven't done themselves any favours with Mike and Molly though.
Series 4 and 5 started later than that first 3, and the inconsistent sporadic airing of episodes don't help matters either. It seemed to get shunted around to fit CBS's new sitcoms, many of which were cancelled.
Six episodes of Series 6 have already aired, and so far I have seen nothing about the remaining 7 episodes, other than the finale episode is apparently going to be called "I See Love".

I'm looking forward to this series. I read about it a few months ago and it really caught my interest. To comission a second season before the first has even been seen says to me that it's got a bit of potential.
The fact that it's a Robert Kirkman project also helps.

After just one episode, but with its ratings that’s not totally surprising.
The fact that it had such a huge rating for its premier must also act as somewhat of a redemption for Steve Harvey following his Miss Universe mistake and for Ellen Degeneres following the failure of One Big Happy (not that Ellen isn’t still super successful with her daytime talkshow).

It did surprise me how they treated the show, especially when Melissa McCarthys film career really took off. When you've got a show with one of the current hottest Hollywood commodities you make the most of it.
It seems once the powers that be have decided a show is over it's a case of screw the fans that have watched it and thus made us money for the past x years.
It's been my favourite sitcom for a while. I be using find the majority of the cast really funny (especially Nanna and Peggy). Unlike most sitcoms where some I find funny some not so much and some downright annoying/pointless.

I quite liked the pilot of Shades of Blue, so I’ll give that a watch on Sky Living.
As for Nashville, that’s a bit of a blow for Freeview viewers who have been watching it for the past few years on More4 and E4.
Shades of Blue is ok. Not the most original show on television but then what is these days. Away from her awful rom-coms, JLO proves she can act.

I'm watching this at U.S pace I wasn't sure at first, it start's a bit slow but now it's one of my current favourites.
