Powers season 1 is starting on Spike in the UK in May

This was a PlayStation Network show in the rest of the world so it has a lot of swearing and violence so it will be interesting to see if they cut it a lot!

Ray Winston has always been a very limited actor. But somehow works all over the world and is never out of work. But we are not naive to know that limited talent takes you very far these days.

But whether the show is good or not, its clearly on the wrong network. It should be on cable.

And in a funny turn of events, just one day later it's been announced that the completely unrelated, but almost identically named, Power has been picked up by Netflix in the UK.

Glad Power has been picked up. Been meaning to check it out and now I can without resorting to other ways.

It's a good show, and gets stronger when it goes into the second season.

What's the Canadian link to Luck Man? I thought it was just a British (Sky) production?

I never said it was. I just said that it doesn't matter if you post news about UK show renewals, as I also post stuff about canadian shows.

Very good news. I've really enjoyed this series and I'm not even a great James Nesbitt fan!

Good news about B99 but not too sure about Last Man On Earth. It needs to change next season or it won't be on my list any more.

Just a formality. CBS head Les Moonves has already said that CBS is planning to renew at least five of the shows debuted this season.

They probably need to go through the contracts and costs of making such shows tbh

Not really, when that is worked out from the very start. Casts are signed for multiple seasons, unless it is a long running show and then renewing contracts can delay a renewal.

Working for a large organisation in my experience we cost up everything. By the end of the year we compare these costs to the reality of what was paid. I think you might be a tad naive, especially considering the fact that contracts might need to be re-evaluated.

When it was posted that, although not American, ‘Lucky Man’ had been renewed you said not to worry because you occasionally post Canadian renewals yourself. I interpreted that as you saying that ‘Lucky Man’ was also Canadian.
I can now see how your comment can be interpreted in different ways, apologies.

Bosch renewed for a third season

It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia renewed for a 13th and 14th season. I think with that two season order, the show will now be the longest running sitcom of all time. Two and Half men managed 12 seasons. Married with children, Cheers, Frasier and The Jeffersons all managed 11.

Oh great! My brother recommended it to me 2 weeks ago and I just went through both seasons within a week (unemployment is good for some things, LOL) and I loved it. Highly recommend it to anyone who likes crime drama - and jazz.
