No. But i will be shocked if it does. It's done modestly well

I remember that

Someone must have turned that round, cos on social media Stana is very popular with the crew especially, even presenting her with memorabilia at the end of season 7, a piece of the set that was Beckett's apartment.

At the beginning of the show as well it was Nathan who helped her at the audition. Admittedly the rumours of N and S ever being a couple seem highly unlikely as Stana and her now husband have been together since not long after the show started. And if it was always so bad Stana would have been dumped a long time ago, well before she became integral to the show, remember before Castle, Stana had done nothing despite what IMDb says.

Same here. It's lowest ratings have been around the 6 million mark and even that's good for CBS.

It deserves a second season. It's a fantastic show.

Ratings don't matter Shawn. It's the demo and it's never gone lower than a demo of 1.2 which is good enough for a renewal. It's a much more consistent performer than the likes of Limitless and Code Black.

Well, all in all, it hasn't been a fantastic year, NBC have probably have had the best year bar Voice dropping like a fly and the huge decline of Blindspot.

Here IMO are the successful stories of 2015-2016 season

CBS:
Life in Pieces- Consistent performer.
Criminal Minds Beyond Borders

- Along with older consistent hit, Big Bang, Mom, NCIS, 2 Broke Girls and Criminal Minds

Not sure- Code Black, Supergirl.

ABC:
Ermmm.... Dr Ken? Quantico?

Not sure/not at all- Everything else

- Along with the powerhouse of Greys.

NBC:
Chicago Med
Superstore
Little Big Shots

- Along with hits.... Chicago Fire, Chicago PD, Law and Order, The Blacklist.

FOX:
Lucifer

- Along with Gotham and HUGE Empire.

CW:
Legends of Tomorrow
iZombie

- Along with Supernatural, The Flash, Arrow and The 100.

Basically ABC have had a crappy year for freshmen shows, and FOX only has Lucifer. NBC have done the best with new shows and the reliables on the network. CW have done well too. CBS hasn't had it bad either.

Well if you bump a TV show around a schedule and don't give it a regular slot what do you expect to happen to the ratings?

Since most people now have a PVR, should it really matter if you change its regular slot? If you watch something live then probably yes. But if you are watching a recorded program, then probably not so much.

Apart from the news and sports events, I cant remember the last time I watched a program live. Thinking about it the last program I watched live was the last Top Gear series.

But drama budgets have been ring-fenced so this shouldn't really be the reason in this particular case. It probably purely came down to ratings.

The BBC shouldnt be chasing ratings, has long as it is well watched.

Not sure this is the right place to discuss this as it’s not a US TV show (there's a Cancelled/Renewed thread in the UK TV Shows forum)... but why the surprise it’s been cancelled – it’s ratings really weren’t great.

Admittedly, yes, that won’t of helped it’s ratings. For me I think the fact it was a 30 minute programme was a problem – it didn’t know if it was a meant to be a soap or a period drama. Maybe it would have done better in a weekly 60 minute slot?

I agree NoEntry. I would of been shocked at it being renewed. BBC spent a lot of money on it. The first several episodes did very well but it lost it's audience week by week.

The BBC will want something that is both a rating and critical success. Which is what they have managed in the last few months with Happy Valley. The Night Manager and War and Peace.

I watch most programmes live and I would assume I am not in the minority with that.
