Although PVR (and catch-up) viewing has increased significantly in the last few years, the stats are surprising – they show that most TV is still watched ‘live’ both in the UK and US.

Yes, I find this weird. Stats suggest that more people have PVR's than actually use them.

I find unless it is a show I really want to watch and have perhaps missed "live" due to another commitment then most of what I record I don't end up watching. if it is a show I am enjoying I will generally I want to watch it at the earliest point which is therefore when it is on "live".

Dickensian was interesting and I did record some of the episodes because I lost track of when it was on after seeing the first four. However after a few episodes banked up on my sky box I just couldn't be bothered to catch up. Had I known when it was on, f it had a regular time slot, I would have been more likely to keep uptodate. It is like War and Peace, I didn't overly enjoy the show but I knew it was 9pm Sunday so just kept watching, if it had moved around and relied on me watching on PVR I wouldn't have got round to it.

Reports have surfaced that Grimm's sixth season will only have 13 episodes.

ABC have confirmed that Quantico's second season will have 22 episodes and that it is moving production from Canada to Los Angeles. The move is expected to generate a load of money for the economy.

So glad to see that The Magicans has been picked up by 5* as it didn't seem like SyFy UK wanted to show it!

5* seem to be picking up quite a few shows recently but I just wish that they would pick up IZombie!

Wet Hot American Summer has been renewed for a second season of eight episodes. While Season 1 was a prequel to the film, the second season will serve as a sequel and will catch up on the characters 10 years later.

FOX have picked up two new shows. 24: Legacy and Star

Legacy is a spin-off from 24 and Star is a musical drama by Lee Daniels.

The 24 spin-off sounds intruiging. Apparently it's going to be in 'real time', but only going to be a 12 episode season so at least the story should nip along fairly quickly.

They need to steer clear of trying to bring Jack back though if they want it to stand on it's own.

Apparently Undateable has been cancelled. The cast and crew all know. But NBC are refusing to confirm anything to the press until upfronts

The Leftovers is moving production to Australia for it's third and final season.

It may still get a airing on Sky Atlantic (unless you’ve read otherwise)... Sky have been premiering entire seasons of other programmes via On Demand before giving them regular scheduled slots – such as The Knick and The Tunnel: Sabotage.

I hope that's not a pre-curser to it being cancelled

But to be fair, it has had a good run even if it does get cancelled

So do I. There's still a lot of potential in it.
