I assume the schedules has already been worked out in advance. I assume Man with a Plan won't shoot until July or August and Episodes shoots in the UK with bits in LA so I assume Matt will shoot the studios bit for Top Gear on one day and maybe film Episodes on the others days. Given that Man with a Plan won't be debuting until late October, they might not start recording the series until September which gives him to finish his other commitments
I’m sure it’s all been scheduled so that it all works out, I just can’t really understand how.
Assuming Matt LeBlanc doesn’t have any more Top Gear commitments this year after the end of June, he could then focus on Man with a Plan (in LA) ahead of its premier in October. That would work. What I don’t understand is how he’s going to do an entire season of Episodes (in the UK) before the end of the year too. I suppose they could move production of Episodes to LA so that he can do that in parallel, but it wouldn’t be ideal. And production on Episodes has already been pushed back due to his Top Gear commitments, so I doubt they’re going to be much more accommodating than they’ve already been.
But, like I said, I’m sure it’s all been scheduled so that it works for all 3 programmes.

And if we’re right about the future of Man with a Plan, he could have quite an empty schedule again by this time next year!

Oh wow, that is good news.

I really like the characters and like watching how they interact with everyone and each other. The 80s kitsch is also a draw.

Excellent news

I'm glad that they will be able to spend time coming up with an ending that pleases the fans

Hopefully they'll give the show a good ending, I just hope they don't get complacent like The Big Bang Theory has with its renewal.

EW are reporting Limitless as now been cancelled.

I know this will disappoint some on this thread.

Pleased at least to know the timeline of the shutdown, just hope they can keep the quality going to the end (a lot of the time writers etc bolt once they know the end is nigh) the cast deserve a decent ending.

When I grow up I'm gonna be a Ruski Spy an listen to Yazz Loads.

Why cut the latter short?

Yeah it's official. The show is over. The plans to sell it elsewhere fell through.

I am a tiny bit gutted but it wasn't a show that was hardly a highlight of my television schedule.

I've only just watched the last two parts of the season finale this week, so not exactly on my must watch list... just one I watched but it was nothing special.

Limitless started well but got a bit boring towards the end. I did find the lead character very watchable though, i hope the actor crops up in something new soon as he is very good.

A shame about limitless, not "great" tv, but good, loved the quirky comedy sections.

Amazon pilots:

The Interestings stars Lauren Ambrose as Jules Jacobson, a witty young actress who may not be as talented as her friends. Adapted from Meg Wolitzer’s 2013 novel of the same name, The Interestings will focus on a group of artsy teens whose friendships are tested while at summer camp in 1974. Along with Ambrose, the series will star David Krumholtz (Numb3rs), Jessica Paré (Mad Men), Matt Barr (Sleepy Hollow), Gabriel Ebert (Ricki and the Flash), Jessica Collins (Rubicon), and Corey Cott (Public Morals).

The Last Tycoon is an adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s unfinished novel of the same name, which follows a battle between 1930s Hollywood golden boy Monroe Stahr and his boss and father figure Pat Brady over control of their production studio. Matt Bomer will star as Monroe, and Kelsey Grammer will play Pat. Additionally, Lily Collins (The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones) will play Cecelia Brady.

That was also a movie with Robert de Niro and Tony Curtis.

CBS has pulled the remaining episodes of Rush Hour from the shedule on a Thursday night from today and replaced it with repeats of Code Black instead.

Apparantly they will air in July on a Saturday burn off.

Rush Hour was a good idea in principle, but woefully executed.

The cast simply were terrible with the charisma of a wet nappy and that was especially true of Jon Foo. While it may be true that he was meant to play his part in a laconic style, the character came across as though they were auditioning for Izombie, not an action series...

Limitless though I thoroughly enjoyed, so a shame its finished.

Have finally decided that I wont watch any new season shows until I know they are reasonably safe for renewal. It simply isn't worth it to get invested in a show to then find it cancelled.

For me, The Last Tycoon sounds like it might be worth a watch. Amazon have also commissioned pilots for 6 kids programmes.

All pilots will premier on Friday 17th June on Amazon in all countries. Which ones get picked up and taken to series will depend on streaming numbers and user reviews as per the usual Amazon pilot process, which I really quite like.

Thanks. It sounds like his plan is to record Episodes (or at least most of it) whilst he’s still in the UK for Top Gear, then move back to LA mid-summer to start work on Man with a Plan (and presumably finish off Episodes with the exterior shoots).

Just about summed up Rush Hour perfectly if you ask me. Although I would disagree with the idea being good in the first place, I thought this was a disaster waiting to get axed. But it didn't help that the cast was woeful from the start, could they have picked a worse pair of actors for the main roles. Even the best actor, the captain was written as the worse sort of cliche and the actress played it like she knew the show was a pile of .........

Showtime have picked up the drama Purity, which is based on the novel by the same name and stars Daniel Craig. It will be a limited series of 20 episodes shown over 2 years. Production begins in 2017.
