They actually did, they just changed their minds before filming began, which is a huge shame because I loved the pilot.

Selfishly, I am glad they did change their mind. Because the X Files revival never would of happened sooner for me.

Lopez renewed for a second season by TV Land

Code Black second season will have 17 episodes. Actors Bonnie Sommerville and Raza Jeffrey will not be returning, due to the show going under a reboot.

they are two of my favourites. I hope Neals ex girlfriend doesn't come back as a main cast member she annoyed me no end. I hope Tommy Dewey returns full time though as Angus' brother.

The season will now have 22 episodes

I am gutted about Bonnie Sommerville. Glad about Raza as he is an awful actor with zero emotion in his face and voice.

little-monster, I'm sure it was you who posted about UnReal so I had a look for myself and have binge-watched it all in 2 days! I love this thread!

Sad about th Code Black reboot as I don't think it needs one at all.

But happy it's been renewed so will wait and see how much they've changed it.

Pierce Brosnan is returning to television as the lead of AMC’s upcoming drama series The Son. The former James Bond is replacing Sam Neill who had been originally cast in the role but left for personal reasons.

That was my thought too as Smallville was a CW programme, though in his Universe Laura Vandervoort was Supergirl

Amazon has picked up five new pilots. They are drama Carnival Row, from the Pacific Rim duo of Guillermo del Toro and Travis Beacham; dramedy The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel from Gilmore Girls creator Amy-Sherman Palladino; drama Strange New Things, from writer Matt Charman (Bridge of Spies) and director Kevin MacDonald; real-life superhero comedy The Legend of Master Legend; and pre-revolutionary Cuba drama Tropicana, produced by Andrea Simon.

He would actually be a fantastic choice, and really, the right age range to play the older cousin - plus, they've left the Lois and most of the other Superman characters untouched so far in the Supergirl universe. Only Jimmy/James has been a significant 'recasted' and reimagined character, that diverts massively from the Smallville 'verse (and, yes, there was a version of Supergirl in that show, but hey ho!). I suspect that could be forgiven if they managed to incorporate a few good stories, touching on both CW shows in a clever way. After all, Smallville managed to co-exist with the Superman Returns reboot, so there's already ample demonstration that two versions of the same character can work in different medium.

Me too but would he want to and if he does, could that mean there might be a superman series in the future.

Given that The Flash crossover implied that there are different Earth versions of shows - indeed it is a big part of The Flash altogether that there are multiple Earths with similarities and the same characters but varying in significant ways - then this is easy to overcome.

If they are upping the interaction between all the DC shows then Supergirl will doubtless meet Oliver Queen and the rest which would create even more of a mismatch with Smallville as those characters were in the later series of that show too. With similarities but also big differences.

So no reason it could not be done at all given this existing key story element of the DC universe shows.

WTF? No way!

I was looking forward to watching season 2 on Lifetime UK as they're the ones who picked up and broadcast season 1 of Unreal. I wonder why they didn't pick up the rights to season 2? The show is critically acclaimed. Really pissed off with this news. I'm not forking out more just to watch it on Amazon.
