HBO confirm that GOT''s seventh season will consist of seven episodes and that the show will air in the summer.
Is it the final season?

Why only 7 eps left ? Did they run out of money or something
It's a similar situation to "Lost" in that they've got a fixed number of episodes to do so they're splitting them in to two shorter seasons.

But then 3 less episodes isn't really going to have any major effect on the story IMO - i think it'll actually allow them to pack each episode with more relevant stuff and less filler

Is it the final season?
No, there's a season 8 to come (which i personally think will be the final season)

USA Network have delayed their new series Shooter until Fall.

The series was meant to premiere tomorrow but it was delayed for a further week due to the dallas shootings. USA have now delayed it a bit longer.

America probably dont wanr to start pushing shows back due to shootings. The show will never make it to air

I wonder that as well
Apparently it was something to do with the estates of John Candy and John Hughes - neither of which wanted to see the show made in the first place. There were a lot of complaints from both sides about it.

Exactly, they should just air it instead.

That's so true, also what happens when it does air and there's another shooting which lets face is highly likely the way things are going. The show is about a sniper.

Well the actor who plays Damon is leaving. I think it's not been the best last season. I didn't like the story or time jump. I think it's time to end it.

It should of ended when Nina left. Once you lose your lead actress, you are essentially digging a hole to be buried in

There are rumours that Murder in the First is ending after 3 seasons on TNT. There was a blind on TVline that apparently fits and Taye Diggs is now recurring on Empire.

It's one of my favourite shows if it's true

I read that, but do the estates of John Candy and John Hughes have any ownership rights over the Uncle Buck ‘brand’?
If not I don’t see how they could demand the programme be axed. Consensus on the internet is that the programme wasn’t popular all round, but its ratings were actually quite acceptable for a first season summer show.

Taye's work on empire may not spell the end for Murder In The First. His time on Empire could easily be temporary. The good thing about doing a show like Murder in the first is that with it's short episode order, you only film about 4/5 months of the year, therefore allowing you an open schedule to do other work around it.

Do you mean after the next season? Season 8 has already been confirmed.

Ian and Kat have been publicly said that they are leaving after the 8th so they haven't really got a choice but to end the show. It's had an amazing run anyway and the show has improved massively since Nina's exit imo.

That will actually make it the first show of Starz to make it past a fourth season. Their longest running show to date still remains Spartacus.

I can understand that, it must cost a fortune for some of the sets.

Press release will follow soon. I am curious to see whether Starz ended the show or whether the producers decided to end it.
