Wynonna Earp renewed, confirmed at Comic-con.
Good news, especially given the cliffhanger they left it on!

Supernatural western with strong, sassy female characters, what's not to like?

Didn't realise Rizzoli and Isles was finishing. I wonder if Rosewood is any good or just another Quincy style ripoff.

I've read mixed reviews. Popularity doesn't equate to quality as we all know. I guess I'll find out this week.

With that title I used to wonder if it was an erotic spin-off of Masters of Horror.

I'm a backer at $125 (£84) on the kickstarter for that and I'd bet Netflix gets it first.

It's an interesting case in that the fact the vast majority of it's original 197 episodes are freely available on youtube clearly helped it get another series where otherwise it might not have.

That's interesting that Netflix have picked up the series after the Kickstarter campaign - I wonder if they've given them the rest of the money to make the full season that they had originally wanted to do ?

I've got everything MST3K have ever done on my NAS drive (including "Season 0" ) but I still haven't watched any of the Joel episodes, even after all these years.

I wonder if Netflix will add the old episodes to their content, I wouldn't mind seeing this series for the first time.

Well worth watching if you have the time. Bookmark this one ..

.. and if you have an hour and a half to kill one day, give it a watch. It's one of the funniest ones they've ever done, helped by how incredibly awful the film itself is

I always remember when it was screened on Sci-Fi (before it became SyFy) and they claimed the rights were always difficult to obtain because you had to get the rights for the film they were featuring as well as the rights to MST3K itself as well.

I suspect Masters of Sex might be picked up by Sky Atlantic. It’s a Showtime programme so is probably included in their exclusive deal now that Channel 4 aren’t interested. Plus it would fit in very well on the channel.

Speaking of which, as Roadies is a Showtime programme why is it not included in Sky’s exclusivity deal? How did it end up on Amazon?

Interesting, how does KickStarter work with television programmes?
So you’ve invested £84 into a revival of ‘Mystery Science Theatre 3000’, if it’s successful do you eventually get a small share of any profit it makes from being picked up by various broadcasters across the world?
And I can understand your frustration if you help to fund it, and it gets picked up by Netflix if you don’t subscribe to it!

I remember with Veronica Mars, you were given rewards depending how much you donated.
So the higher the donation, the bigger and the more rewards you got. One reward included a set visit and a chance to be an extra.

This has already been in limbo in the UK for some time.
Did they even bother with S3 last year ? S4 starts in US in September and I believe it has been already further renewed.

There was an article on the TVWise site a month or so ago which said C4 only bought first two seasons which appeared S1 on C4 in 2013 and S2 on More4 in 2014 as they shunted it down due to weak ratings.

Even Sony the producers have little faith for the show in the UK as we only got DVD whereas in the rest of the world they also released on blu-ray.

TVWise said that Sony have been trying to get another channel to take in on in UK from C4 but with its poor ratings no one is interested. Most likely home is Amazon who already have S1 and 2 available.

With the Veronica Mars film virtually all reward levels included a digital copy, DVD or blu-ray and you received these IIRC slightly before the retail release but after the cinema. For UK backers they even had to give you US sourced blu-rays if you went for that reward as Warner only released it on DVD to UK retail.

However some of these TV and film ones can be a disaster. I backed Elstree 1977 which is a documentary about some of the extras from the original Star Wars movie. They filmed at Elstree studios hence the title.

That has turned into a disaster as the producers did not budget enough for post protection and legal costs given its Star Wars so very problematic with Disney so ran out of cash and had to sell the rights globally. They then screwed the Kickstarter backers by not reading the small print of the deal which means that backers can only receive a retail DVD or blu-ray so they have to sell rights in your country first. The problem is they can't seem able to sell rights in UK so we are in limbo on getting our disks. The film was screened at the 2015 London Film Festival in October of that year, their best hope now is possibly a UK cinema release in January 2017 so we get our disks in April to June 2017 but even that only seems to be the hope of an earliest possible date.

Does anyone have any news on shameless usa ? Season 5 was shown on more4 last year in feb. It's now august and nothing... can't find anything online at all. Bit strange how in theory s6 should have started nearly 6 months ago and no update.
