TBS has picked up ‘Drop the Mic’, a spin off from ‘The Late Late Show with James Corden’. 16 episodes have been commissioned for the show’s first season. Corden will act as executive producer, but not host. It’s expected TBS will promote it as one of its flagship shows, along with exiting shows ‘Full Frontal with Samantha Bee’ and ‘Conan’.

This will be the second ‘spin off’ from ‘The Late Late Show with James Corden’, following the announcement earlier this summer that Apple Music has picked up ‘Carpool Karaoke’.

So glad about Ray Donovan especially after some of the rumours that have been going around.
They will have to up their game a bit for next season, this season has been all over the place.

To be fair, Ray Donovan was never in trouble anyway despite that Blind item indicating a television show was coming to an end. Especially. as the blind item said it was a new-ish/young show. And i wouldn't class a show in it's fourth season a newish show, and also Ray Donovan is Showtime's third highest rated show and earns them golden globe and emmy nominations. So they would never ever let it go.

I am still eager to know what show it is. My money was on Scream and Salem originally.

Just my luck. A new show that I love and it won't last. I did read that the network are said to be happy with it creatively but acknowledge that it hasn't caught on ratings wise.

Hopefully it doesn't end on any kind of cliffhanger.

Showtime were asked about Roadies at the TCA's and they said they won't announce the show's future until it finishes it's run. It had cancellation written over it once the ratings were released.

I keep meaning to watch this, it's been recommended to me before now.
I personally would recommend it alot. It is very adult as well, which i find different to most shows which are more family like. But of course it is all personal opinion, you will either like it or loath it.

Very true it was unlikely that it was going to be cancelled, especially as you say all the nominations it gets and it being third highest show for them. Think it was more a case of it being one of my few summer shows, so didn't want to lose it.

Im really lost on what the Blind item is going to be as i cant work it out at all.

Ill admit to thinking it was ray donovan initially myself but im thinking its more than likely scream or mr robot now. Wonder when it will be revealed in either case?

I personally hope I'm wrong, but I keep on thinking that it might be Murder in the First.

Thanks. Sounds like it's not a major high profile show. Could be The Last Ship.

Luckily Scream couldn't be considered a hit so I doubt that is the blind. It sounds like it would be Mr Robot to me.

Won Golden Globes, up for Emmy's. Not in a million years would it be this so soon. Makes no sense.

Could be Bloodlines.

Possibly, although originally was meant to be a one off series in the first place.

That's a shame for Wilmore. Seemed like Comedy Central gave it every possible chance but it just didn't catch on.
