Good point and had a look through the Netflix catalog today and i think black mirror was only cancelled show they've took on.

They have kept Longmire going after it was cancelled by A&E.

I'm not surprised. Even though A&E cancelled it, there was, and is a strong following of fans to support it. It's a quality show which deserves its second chance.

They also co-funded season 3 of 'The Killing' and took the show into its final season by itself after it was cancelled again by AMC. Should have gone on longer it was a great show.

And let's not forget Netflix pick up Arrested Development after it had been cancelled by FOX - may the first instance of them picking up a cancelled programme.

The Exorcist from FOX picked up by SyFy UK.

It's a bit quiet on the US acquisition front so far...nothing from Sky or UKTV.

They are dragging it out a bit, 2 seasons is enough to tell the story.

Apologies if this has already been in this thread, but since the search function is crap

E! UK have picked up the UK Broadcast rights to The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.

http://www.tvwise.co.uk/2016/08/e-uk...-jimmy-fallon/

They'll be showing it 24 hours after the US airing as well which is good.

I suppose they are waiting to see how the new season shows fare. They won't want to be stuck with something which bombs and is cancelled after a few episodes.

Mistresses ended on a cliffhanger apparently. And it's a close one to being cancelled

That will be another summer soap drama I like that will bite the dust on a cliffhanger. I think i have become a bit cold hearted in my old age. Having seen so many of my fav shows end abrupty, it feels like water off a duck's back now.

It's increasing moments like this why i don't touch any show (whether old or new) until they are renewed

Pleased about this. It's a show that has gone from strength to strength.

FX cancel Tyrant after three seasons. The series finale airs tonight in the US

The show has never been a ratings success and unlike The Americans, it has never had the critical acclaim to back it up.

I'm surprised it lasted 3 seasons, i made it through the first one and then gave up.'The Americans' is in a different league & highly watchable.

I found it a load of rubbish. Poor Jennifer Finnigan. She has no luck with shows. Although this is her first to make it past the second season

After watching the Columbian drama about Escobar i found the Netflix Narcos to be very poor and devoid of any real detail about the background of Escobar and his rise and fall, 74 episodes but you got the feeling you were learning his story rather than being fed mere titbits.

I agree a show with so much promise died in its first episode, season three has been utterly dire, poor scripts and some what dodgy acting, surprised it made it to season three, also rumours suggest the new Michael Weatherly CBS show Bull has had some on set issues,

I agree the Columbian production really dragged you in as it was so interesting. It was a bit of a slog to get through it all but well worth it in the end. I felt a bit guilty because i started to feel sorry for him and his sidekicks even after all the terrible things he had done,
