Netflix UK pick up Designated Survivor. The pilot can be watched now and each episode will be added soon after it's US airing.

Does anyone know if 'Tyrant' will be returning for another series once the current run ends?

No this is the final series. Well that's what they are saying on the Fox trailer.

No. It was cancelled a few weeks ago. Apparently the final episode serves as a wrap up though.

Awesome news. Hopefully it's not too long to wait usually isn't or at least other shows don't take long.

ITV2 pick up upcoming sitcom The Great Indoors.
Interesting. I was part of the focus group for this at CBS earlier this year.

I thought it was alright, but very average. My feedback also included the fact I thought it was very similar to Tim Allen’s ‘Last Man Standing’ on ABC. I’m guessing the fact that Stephen Fry co-stars in it is the only thing that has grabbed ITV2’s interest.

I was in Las Vegas. Go to the CBS Television City Audience Research Centre, in the MGM Grand, and simply sign up. They even pay you for your time, in either cash or vouchers.
Screenings run every 30 minutes on most days. You get taken to a screening room (with up to 15-20 other people) and don’t get told what you’re about to review until the programme starts. I was only told it had a TV-14 rating and it was a pilot for a potential new programme this fall.
You have one of those handheld dials to give a score of 1 to 100, and as you watch the programme you score higher or lower depending on if you like what you’re watching. You then complete a short (15 minute) online survey about what you’ve just watched, and then you’re done! It’s a fun way to spend about an hour of your time, especially if you’re really into television (like most of us geeks are on here!). Although my wife enjoyed it too.
There’s also CBS shop, which you can buy items at a discounted rate once you’ve completed the focus group. Overall, I’d really recommend it to anyone who has an interest in television, and how the industry works.

I have done the focus group about 3 times at MGM. it is worth doing and is a good way of spending an hour that you dont spend money on either lol. They would stop you in the corridor as you were passing and ask if you were intrested in taking part. First time on filling the questionaire in at the end about yourself i had to ask what the education levels were equal to compared to UK, as i had no idea.

The first time i did it the shop was basically filled with CSI stuff. Was pratically impossible to find anything else in their, although that occasion was december 2001 so it was in its 2nd season. However from future visits they did have other things in the shop.

Yes, i suspect that without Stephen Fry it would have had no takers over here. I'e only seen the trailer on YouTube but I thought it was terrible.

The CBS shop in Las Vegas isn't anywhere near as good (or as big) as the NBC shop in New York, but I did get a Late Show with Stephen Colbert t-shirt (discounted using a voucher from being in the focus group).

I wouldn't say The Great Indoors was terrible, just very average, and very 'traditional'. I suspect it won't get beyond it's first season, but who knows. It's an odd one for ITV2 to choose given the choice available.

An announcement on ITV2 just stated that Lethal Weapon won't be starting on ITV until 'next year', so they will be somewhat behind US pace (to start with at least). Maybe they want to see how it does in the US before they make any scheduling commitments to it.

I think it has potential to do well.

They have a strong cast and I thought on first viewing that it was well scripted and fast moving. It also had the right balance of comedy and drama.

Considering I wasn't even intending to bother with it, as I'm not that keen as a rule on tv series based on films, I'm pleased that I did watch the first episode and will now follow the series,

As I said on the Lethal Weapon thread; I think that this show is going to be my new 'guilty pleasure'

Channel 4 have picked up This Is Up. No word on an airdate

I don't know why Channel 4 bother airing US dramas. Aftter a season or two, they do poorly in the ratings and end up on E4 or More 4.

Thanks for sharing that I'm trying to decide now whether to wait until it airs here or just watch it at US pace.

Or if they do well in the rating they end up on Sky.

I'm calling Cancelled on MacGyver.

So that's MacGyver, Designated Survivor and Bull, I don't think will make to a 2nd season.
