Hulu will release all 10 episodes of its forthcoming original series Shut Eye in one go on the 7th December. It was previously said that it would release weekly from the 7th December.

That was Russell T Davies.

David O. Russell is a movie director and producer.
These people will have similar names
Oh that's a shame I would liked to have seen a new scifi series with Julianne in it

She was good in 'The Forgotten'.

Julianne Moore is normally good in everything she does. Nice to see her coming back to tv. To think she once started out in a soap opera.

Here are my predictions on what's not making it to next year.

CBS:
Code Black
Elementary
Pure Genius.

ABC (which is in big trouble this year!)
Quantico
Secrets and Lies
The Catch
Notorious
Conviction
Dr Ken
The Real o Neals

Perhaps 1 last season- SHIELD, Once, Designated Survivor, Last Man Standing.

FOX:
(Final Season of Bones)

Pitch
The Exorcist
Son of Zorm
Scream Queens

Perhaps one more season- Last Man, Sleepy Hollow and surprisingly New Girl

NBC:
Errrm... it's in such a strong position, the thing that is most in danger is Blindspot but that will return. Will be difficult, if none of the new shows flops, I wonder what will happen!

CW:
(TVD on final season)
Crazy Ex Girlfriend
Reign

Maybe 1 more season- The Originals.

No official confirmation but reports are saying Conviction has been cancelled.

Dead of summer has been cancelled by Freeform

Great list Salv. I'll present my list in the morning.

The idea for that goldbergs spin-off sounds rubbish.

Sadly it seemed inevitable from the start, but the last 2 episodes were definitely nails in the coffin.

You just couldn't root for Hayley's character or the people she was representing.

At least they managed to film all 13 episodes and not have an episode reduction like Notorious.

My take on whats not coming back next fall, based on whats aired so far

NBC

This is a tough one, every show is doing at least Ok but something has to go to allow for at least 1 new show and probably 1 new comedy and based on previous years, If Chicago Justice does well in the spring it will be moved to the fall for a full season

Blindspot is probably most at risk as Salv said, renewing it is basically a 2 year commitment due to the Syndication rule, could they put up with those ratings for 2 more years? Could move it to Fridays with Grimm ending and basically being a wasted Day this side of Xmas, it would free up a spot but allow NBC to keep the show for a full season

Timeless would be my only other option to realistically cancel, its not doing terribly bad but I'd Imagine they had higher hopes for it, it's likely expensive and wont have a full season under its belt and surely wont be in that spot next season and I fear will collapse badly when moved

The Blacklist could be a surprise as well, its ratings have fallen mainly due to the timeslot but James Spader is likely expensive and may feel 4 seasons is enough, I think it will be back for at least one more season even if its pushed back to The spring but given the strength of NBC this year it may be a surprise cancellation

CBS

Pure Genius - will be lucky to even air its entire order
Code Black - I think its chances were summed up by CBS leaving it on the air last week after pulling everything else
The Odd Couple - May move it back to midseason but its a real ratings downer
Life in Pieces - if they keep TOC then this is cancelled instead

Elementary ratings deserve to be cancelled but it does have that cushty reported $2 million syndication deal with WGN, whats not known is how many seasons they've bought. If its 6 seasons then I can see CBS Bringing it back to just keep that death spot on 10pm Sundays, nothing they put there ever gets good ratings anymore and half the time isn't even aired in primetime so better off just writing that slot off and cash the 2 mill every week then throwing another show to the wolves

Criminal Minds and The Big Bang Theory could end if they cant work out new deals with the cast etc but thats hard to predict at this time, ratings wise of course CBS wants them both back

ABC

Horrible Horrible year, everything bar Greys could realistically be in danger Drama wise but can't cancel everything which is good news for Agents Shield and Once Upon a Time which may both survive for one final season

Notorious
Conviction
Secrets and Lies
Dr Ken
Quantico
The Real O'Neals

FOX

The Exorcist
Son Of Zorn
Pitch
Scream Queens
Sleepy Hollow - Not aired yet but think this will be its last season

Rosewood is an interesting one, Its ratings are low but so is all off Foxs show really, It will be at 44 episodes and is moving to Fridays in January, if it maintains the 0.8 I can see Fox renewing it and keeping on Fridays for a few more years to get it to Syndication, its been a while since they've had a procedural show they own reach the 4 seasons mark, was Bones the last?

THE CW

Crazy Ex Girlfriend
No Tomorrow
Frequency

Its really going to be an interesting renew/cancel season next Spring, so many shows are bubble shows and with just a tenth or so off each other that its really hard to predict whats coming back, Fox has a load of shows between 0.8-1.1 range, Same with ABC who have so many low rated shows but can't possibly cancel them all

NBC is the opposite in that as I said above it has a load of shows doing well but can't possibly keep them all, barring moving a few to Mid-season which is a possibility

CBS looks to be the most easy network to predict so far, though I'd like to see a few more weeks of ratings for the comedies to know exactly where they've bottomed out at, Man with a Plan and The Great Indoors are still Toss Ups so far

Ok here is my take. I might actually copy and paste this and save it somewhere, and then look back on it next May to see if i was right or not on certain things.

Fox

All animated shows are all renewed anyway.

Empire will be renewed without a doubt. I am certain Lethal Weapon will be as well.

Scream Queens, Pitch. Rosewood, The Exorcist, Son Of Zorn and The Last Man On Earth are most likely going to be cancelled.

I think New Girl will be renewed for a short seventh final season

I am unsure about Brooklyn Nine Nine. It will hit syndication numbers this season but FOX do not benefit from this show as it is NBC produced. I think Brooklyn Nine Nine's future will be based on how well Making History and The Mick will do. If they do worse, then it will renewed.

Gotham and Lucifer will be renewed. Gotham is a season away from syndication anyway.

NBC

This Is Us, Blindspot, The Blacklist, Special Victims Unit and the Chicago Franchise will be all be renewed.

I think Timeless, The Carmichael Show and Shades of Blue will be cancelled. Shades of Blue wasn't really a success anyway and actually lost its audience after it was renewed. I can't see it's audience suddenly increasing when it returns in the new year. NBC were too hasty in renewing it. The Carmichael Show didn't do well at all during its second season and it's too far away from ever hitting syndication numbers by the time Season 3 airs in it's entirety.

I think The Good Place will be renewed and may be one of the first early renewals.

I am unsure about Superstore as it's ratings have been all over the place. I think it's future will be based on whether Great News and Powerless rate better or not.

CBS

The NCIS franchise, Big bang theory, Mom, 2 Broke Girls, Criminal Minds, Scorpion, Hawaii Five O, Blue Bloods, Madam Secretary will all be renewed. I think next season will be Big bang's final season.

I am not certain on the futures of Bull, Kevin Can Wait, Man With A Plan, The Great outdoors and Macgyver. Still too early.

Elementary, Code Black, Pure Genius, Life In Pieces, The Odd Couple and Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders. I predict Beyond Borders as a cancellation, purely based on the show losing viewers and performing rather poorly towards the end of it's first season.

ABC

Grey's, OUAT, Murder, Last Man Standing, Goldbergs, Modern family, Fresh Off The Boat, Blackish and The Middle will be renewed. I think OUAT will be given a short final seventh season.

SHIELD, Dr Ken, Secrets and Lies, Quantico, The Catch, The Real O'Neals, Notorious and Conviction will all be cancelled. The Catch was not even a success anyway and I think was only renewed to fill in a gap. A small part of me thinks SHIELD could somehow escape from cancellation but only if the new midseason dramas perform worse.

I am not sure about Designated Survivor as it loses its viewers more with each episode. It's already a hit 1.2. Too early to tell about Speechless and American Housewife. Both have remained stable in ratings though. I personally think both will make it to a second season but i am not 100 per cent sure about calling them safe at the moment.

The CW

Arrow, Flash, The Originals, Legends of tomorrow, Supergirl, Supernatural and Jane will all be renewed. I think The Originals will be renewed for a short final fifth season.

Frequency, No Tomorrow, The 100 and Crazy ex girlfriend will be cancelled. I predict The 100 purely based on the decrease in ratings on season 3. Plus with only 13 episodes in each season, the show is too far away to hit syndication numbers. So if those decrease in ratings continue for season 4, i think it will go.

I am unsure about Reign. I think Reign's future will be determined on how well the midseason shows go. Riverdale is the only other new show yet to premiere. As well as iZombie and The 100. I think Reign might sneak to a fifth season, but with another small order of episodes again.

ABC are to develope a version of the Belgian drama Salamander.

I saw the original it was pretty good, far better than Cordon, but I'm concerned quite how they are going to adapt Salamander to the US.

NBC have delayed SVU's Donald Trump's inspired episode again. Originally meant to air last month, the episode was delayed until 16th November. The episode will now not air then either. Some are saying it will next year. But some are saying there is pressure not to air it, now that Trump is president.

I posted this several posts above last night

Although Conviction's isn't official. ABC have made no comment. But it pretty much is. They just are not saying it.

I must of missed the bit about Dead of Summer (eyesight getting old lol). Know you said about Conviction, that was just more with the comment i had made last night about it.

I did misread something about it being official Apparantly ABC have said its not cancelled. They are keeping the options on cast for a possible season 2. Something tells me though its not going to happen.

ENews says ...

Merrin Dungey, one of Conviction's stars and the sister to ABC Entertainment Group president Channing Dungey, tweeted the show has not been axed. "@ABCConviction isn't cancelled. We are just doing 13 episodes this season. Trust me, I just spoke 2 ABC pres. ]
You didn't misread it. It was announced as official. They've just dialled it back today.

Robert De Niro & Julianne Moore to Star in David O. Russell TV Series with Series Commitment at Amazon. 2 Season commitment in the currently untitled $160 million drama.

http://www.spoilertv.com/2016/08/rob...e-to-star.html
That’s a massive deal for Amazon, I suspect it’ll be their most high profile original series to date (maybe excluding The Grand Tour in the UK).

Amazon really are becoming a major player for me, this new Robert DeNiro crime drama sounds good, I’m looking forward to The Last Tycoon which was recently picked up to series, The Grand Tour, plus an increasing number of ‘Amazon Exclusive’ acquisitions too. Netflix has some series competition.

On a related note, apologies if it’s already been mentioned, but Amazon has picked up Martin Freeman and Adam Brody drama ‘StartUp’ from Sony Television. All 10 episodes are available now.
