Oh, I was unaware that they had dropped it. Thanks for that. Such a shame, because it's an excellent show.

CBS Gives Full Seasons Orders to Man With a Plan & The Great Indoors, 3 More Episodes Ordered for Code Black Season 2

So Man with a Plan and Great Indoors go to 19 episodes and Code Black goes to 16 episodes

I had no idea Code Black was given 13 episodes originally. One of the creators said in an interview back in august that they were given 22 episodes. Clearly not.

Thanks Brian

I wonder how long it will be until CBS cut Pure genius's episode order or shut production down after the initial 13 order.

I must admit i thought Code Black was on 18 episodes for some reason, dont know why. I think Pure Genius will get its order trimmed like ABC did with Notorious and then cancelled.

Maybe when the UK people had a look at it they saw something they didn't like. Maybe they are hedging their bets. Maybe the likes of Sky haven't got the budget, maybe they think they've got enough.

Perhaps UKTV has been caught out too often or again they dont think they have a spot for it. Which surprises me as they've lost a lot of their 'first run' US imports just recently.”

To me it seems the same as Person of Interest a few years back another show which had a very late UK TV buy hence UK TV broadcasts were a year behind rest of world.

I think the TV channels here thought there was a risk it would fail plus CBS probably want a lot of money given Weatherly is a name TV draw although not top tier after NCIS. They were almost certainly holding out to see if it's renewed given the many one and out burns the UK channels have suffered in recent years.

I could see C5 (with their CBS links), Sky, UKTV and Universal all being interested in this.

If it's renewed there will definitely be a buy from a UK channel.

If anyone remembers the movies F/X and F/X2 from the 80s that was similar idea with movie special effects to solve crime.

I am amazed with all the crap remakes we get these days that those haven't been remade as either TV or movies.

I had also missed that How to Get Away with Murder had been dropped by Universal Channel in UK.

Does anyone know was this a decision by Universal ? or was it only a 2 season deal so ABC wanted more than Universal were willing to pay for S3 given its been a moderate success in US, don't know about UK ratings. I would have thought a proper TV channel even if it's UKTV for W or Alibi would pay more than Netflix ? unless they get UK as part of a European coverage deal but can't see them taking first run rights unless no one seriously does not want this.

Normally when a UK channel drop a US show, it normally means poor ratings. I am sure netflix will pick it up. They picked up Breaking Bad, Pretty Little Liars and Once Upon a time after they were dropped by their UK channels.

Yes they did a series, which would probably similar to the 'Now You See It' idea.

But hopefully the FX would be much better with the tech we have now. It would be like real magic,

I read online that Universal said that it wasn't because of bad ratings but because of the high price and universal wanting to focus on picking up other shows instead. But I would guess that it was a mixture of bad/average ratings and a high price tag. I say the most likely pick up will be from Netflix, as they already have the first two seasons up. I just hope something happens fast as I'm dying to catch up!

Tyler, give in and watch it online. You could be waiting ages. Plus season 3 is sensational.

I'll probably just wait it out. I always would rather wait and watch it in HD compared to the online quality.

Nowhere if you are in UK and want S3 as not on TV or any UK streaming service. Hence my question and from others like your post.

Okay you can watch on various overseas TV via VPN, or illegally.

Legal drama starring Morena Baccarin in development at NBC

http://www.spoilertv.com/2016/11/leg...ccarin-in.html

It has a script commitment at NBC. If it does get picked up to series, Morena will leave Gotham as a regular and become a recurring, if not she will stay with Gotham.

It is getting a bit silly, with S.H.I.E.L.D. never exactly sparkling, Agent Carter, suffering an agonising death. And the spin if with Mac and the other one not even getting picked up.

Someone should tell ABC the Marvel universe is not there version of NCIS, CSI etc, that supports multiple incarnations.

I agree with you there Hamlet. The marvel franchise just isn't working for ABC

That’s a fair view to have of Bull, but you could also say the same about ‘Man with a Plan’ – with a big name like Matt LeBlanc (Friends, Episodes, and now Top Gear) you’d have thought someone in the UK would have picked it by now (particularly as ITV2 appear to have chosen ‘The Great Indoors’ over it – I’m guessing it was cheaper).

In fact, I’d say the same about all 3 recent Matthew Perry sitcoms. I’d have thought his name alone would have resulted in someone in the UK picking them up. Admittedly ‘Mr Sunshine’ and ‘Go On’ did get cancelled after one (full) season each, but I’d still have thought someone would have taken a chance on them. What surprises me the most of his recent sitcoms is ‘The Odd Couple’ – now in its 3rd season and still no UK broadcaster. I’m amazed no one has picked it up.
