Watched Pure Genius on Universal last night. This show has cancelled written all over it. Why can't US shows use ordinary looking people to play doctors and lawyers instead of beautiful looking Abercrombie models.

Yes hence why I said it is one of the better new shows currently out there. Why would I comment on something I had not seen?

Perhaps because there has been reference to Bull in a number of posts regarding Bull's viewing figures and it's popularity in some recent articles. Not everyone who comments on a show therefore has seen it but may refer to it being one of the better shows based on what they have taken from reading an article and that is why I posed the question.

I have seen the first two episodes mainly because my wife is a huge fan of Michael Weatherly having watched him for years in NCIS. She was hugely disappointed in the show as I was. The viewing figures have dropped from an opening 15.6 million to 11.6 million after only 5 episodes. You can expect a high viewing figure for an opening show especially with such a popular actor such as Michael Weatherly so the following episode may suffer a natural drop off but the figures are still falling.

CBS have ordered two more episodes of Elementary. Season 5 will have a total of 24 episodes.

Yes I agree, I couldn't even make it through the whole of the 2nd episode.

It is just too far up its self.

Hmm. More like how we can make snarky comments about 14 shows without looking bad. Of those I watch none of the 'improvements' seem to be particularly helpful. Any criticism of Speechless is tantamount to heresy for me anyway but telling Minnie Driver to be less Minnie Driver?

When people stop watching them ... so, next century, maybe (if the Earth lasts that long)?

Apart from the fact it puts it in line with its previous seasons, this to me says you have the extra 2 episodes to wrap the show up properly. Although it also gives CBS more money from the deal they have with WGN for it.

I was thinking this as well.

Yes that was a film crying out for a series to develop the threads of an interesting story.

Didn't realise there was a 2nd episode. Don't think I'll bother.

No. Apparently the show's future is in doubt due to being expensive to make and one of the show's actors being unavailable.

Not soon, I hope. I'm still hoping for a decent adaptation of 'Y: The Last Man' and 'Lazarus'.

Not keen on the whole super hero craze but it's something i can easily avoid and not become too irritated. But then i like the Horror craze that has also become a trend over the last few years and some may not like that either.
