I too am a huge fan of the original series, but I felt that the final episode just didn't work for me. The pre-election 'special' was like they had never been away. I do wonder if the episode number is a set figure or will it get extended with additional episodes ordered.

If Will & Grace brings in decent numbers could we see NBC exploring the return of Friends?
As far as Friends goes, NBC could certainly explore it would never happen. The amount of money they'd have to pay them just for starters would far outweigh any money they'd make, and also a few of the cast have mentioned in interviews that it was a show of it's time and that time had been and gone.

So their is an unannouced new DC tv series coming in 2017 that will be announced soon. It has been confirmed by DC President Geoff Johns this morning.

He mentioned The Flash, Arrow, Gotham, Legends Of Tomorrow, Lucifer and Supergirl. iZombie and Vixen are coming back and we already know about Powerless and Krypton debuting, there’s the return of Young Justice.

Not sure how I feel about this. Huge, huge fan of the original and have the whole series stored on my NAS drive that i've watched multiple times, but it ended - and ended well as well (at least I thought so).

The fact that Leslie Jordan has confirmed it as well suggests that Beverley Leslie will return which will, in effect, ignore the storyline from the final episode that allowed Jack to inherit his fortune.

Obviously i'm still going to watch and i'll probably love it, but i suppose there's a part of me that is still a bit hesitant.
Did Will marry Bobby Canavale in the end?

No news. Although there is a canceled/renewed shows thread in the UK area. So be sure to keep an eye out for any news of it there.

Netflix have picked up first run international rights for Riverdale from CW outside the US
Great news! I like the look of this show.

I found the ending a complete let down, it just didn't work and fell completely flat for me. I know the election was only a 10 minute 'special' but watching that felt like the same old show I've grown up watching and loving. I don't think this return will ruin the orginial series.

I think the difference is that all the main actors in Will & Grace want to return and do more. They've been quite vocal since the show ended that they will be up for a reunion. The Friends cast are the complete opposite, all they've done really since the show is say how a reunion wouldn't work and how none of them want to do it. Never say never but I just can't see it ever happening. It will be so hard (and expensive) to get all 6 to agree.

Debra Messing has confirmed that the revival isn't official. There have been talks but nothing has been settled or signed. I had a feeling nothing was official anyway. If it was official, then NBC would have put out a press release like most networks do.

I think this is probably build up talk to maybe make sure the sums are right for the cast and also that NBC will want to announce it on their own terms as well. As it will be a big deal. Lesley saying what she did has stirred it up and just added to the speculation as has Debra now by reeling it back in a bit. I highly expect NBC will annouce it in due course, may even do it at the TCA's press conferences, even though it is mainly for mid-season shows.

No surprise about The Man in the High Castle, especially given its viewers i believe.

You go away for a couple of weeks and then post old news about ABC comedies although it is 3 pages back

Great show, long overdue some awards for Vera Farmiga & Freddie Highmore.

Just replying in response to something that was posted here while away.

I am sad but not totally shocked about Salem's cancellation. I had a strange feeling something was off around April/May last year. Season 3 was given 13 episodes originally but only 10 were made. And one of the show's extras who has been with the show since the pilot posted a cryptic tweet that suggested to me that the show had wrapped for good, and not just for another season. I know the creator had a five season plan. But i am glad WGN had the decency to inform them this was the final season and they were able to plan and film this season knowing this because other shows do not get that chance. So i can't be too bitter.

They could do a reboot like they did with Full House and feature the Friends children and occasionally the original cast all hanging out at Central Perk etc. Wouldn't the triplets and Ben all be over 21 by now?

I would rather they leave friends alone to be honest. Even if it did come back, those people who have wanted the show to return will be the ones criticizing it and claiming the revival has tainted the original. You can't please people when it comes to revivals.

Girl Meets World has been cancelled after three seasons. It was previously hinted it was ending and now the writers themselves have confirmed it. The finale will serve as a wrap up

There is a rumor going around that the show's cancellation may be down to Disney not being happy about the lead actress being open about various causes such as LGBT rights, feminism and racism.

A prequel series of Charmed is in development on The CW. The show will follow three witches who were ancestors to the Halliwell sisters.

This could be either very good or very bad. The fact that the CW are doing it doesn't fill me with optimism
