Girl Meets World has been cancelled after three seasons. It was previously hinted it was ending and now the writers themselves have confirmed it. The finale will serve as a wrap up

There is a rumor going around that the show's cancellation may be down to Disney not being happy about the lead actress being open about various causes such as LGBT rights, feminism and racism.
It does seem a little odd, although it’s lost about a third of its audience over its 3 seasons, it’s still be averaging 1.7 million per episode.
From what I can find online, in 2015 Disney Channel was the 5th most watched cable network in primetime in terms of total viewers – with an average audience of 1.7 million viewers. So Girl Meets World is still performing a solid average for the network.

Its about time that it was announced. Think its nearly 2 weeks ago since i posted on here about Disney Canada appearing to jump the gun about the cancellation and then removing it. Surprised Disney didn't bury it over the Christmas period though which is what i expected them to do after the news had kind of broke.

If the Rumour is true can see some verbal mud slinging happening or even a court case being filed. Of course it wont go to court as it will all be settled and privacy agreements signed.

Disney are really weird and funny about their actors speaking out in causes going on in the world. They like their actors to be clean cut, innocent and have no opinions at all.

I remember an incident in the 90's when Sarah Polley who was the lead actress in Road to Avonlea fell out with Disney when she attended a red carpet event wearing a peace sign in protest with the gulf war. They told her to remove it and she refused. And the relationship between went really sour. They stopped inviting her to other red carpet events and wouldn't let her audition for other roles.

Which makes me laugh considering some of the rumours that have circulated about Disney over the years and their practices.

I have to say, the updated character descriptions on the Charmed prequel for CW do not fill me with any more confidence than the original post about the prequel itself.

Haha. I read about this show last year. If they gave out awards for bizzare tv show titles, it would sweep the board.

I will check it out though as i love Drew Barrymore.

They are rather cringeworthy, as is this ..

The reboot will be connected to the original series in some fashion, though it's not entirely clear at this point how that will come to pass.
What's the betting they try and get someone from the original cast to appear in some fashion ?. Most likely in some kind of 'flash forward'-type episode ?.

I certainly won't be watching it.

I am hardly bursting at the seams about it either

Kinda looking forward to the dynasty reboot though if is picked up. Most people watch CW for their superhero/supernatural shows. But i prefer CW when they do their soapy shows.
