You missed - Fortitude - SKY Atlantic 9pm - 26th January.
Fortitude isn't a US show.

Does anyone know if the 'Special' episode of Girl Meets World counts as two episodes towards the season count? (it was 45mins long)

Looks like they couldn't be bothered to write a new episode and this was a good way of burning the show off.

I do believe someone has already mentioned that...... which I read - however I am unable to edit my post.
was there any need to repeat the 'same' comment?

Im not sure what the original count was on episodes but their are only 2 episodes left till it ends. Episode 21 is the last.

Oh well it doesn't really matter although I'll count the season as 19 episodes as the 'special' just felt like filler.

It's a shame they couldn't have moved to a channel that would allow a more mature content as the teens grow up,

It was a nice series and brought back memories of 'Boy Meets World'.

Fans are already begging for netflix to save the show. Which is annoying, as any show that is canceled these days, people quickly look to netflix as some sort of television savior.

I have heard a rumor it is being shopped to Freeform.

Although if it isn't saved, it has a72 produced episodes that can be packaged up in a nice syndication package. Of course the preferred number is 88 but even 72 is still profitable.

I was thinking Freeform would be an ideal channel for it, then they could explore more mature themes, and I'm sure FF wouldn't have an issue with gay themes and such.

I just think the show had more to offer and it would have been nice to see the characters grow up.

I never understood why Blue Bloods is on Sky Atlantic and not on Sky 1/Living. Its not like its a premium show from HBO/Showtime with explicit scenes. Out of the current cop shows its one you could nearly watch as a family. Why is it on Sky Atlantic?

Blue Bloods likely ended up on Sky Atlantic because when it comes to selling television shows internationally, it's all about who makes the best offer with the right amount of money and Sky Atlantic obviously did. But i agree. It is more ideal on a place like Sky 1 or Sky Living.

The first season of Blue Bloods has been showing on Pick. For me, it's a cop show that could have been written by a computer but, from another point of view, it's solid entertainment.

That was renewed for a fifth and sixth season last year. It's well and truly safe

Individual Sky channels don't buy their own rights - Sky buys the rights then chooses which channel to put them on.

I'm a big fan of Blue Bloods even after 7 seasons at US Pace. It may be a by-the-numbers cop show but it's easy on the brain entertainment with a solid cast.

Netflix UK have got seasons 3,4 and 5 of Teen Wolf as well as seasons 1 and 2 already!

Is this show on season 6 in America now?

Netflix seems to be getting much better with content by adding shows dropped by other channels and also picking up new shows and airing at US pace.
The uk netflix sub is much better value than it was a few years ago.

I agree. UK netflix is improving on a month by month basis. They have a great selection of content in terms of television shows.

Over Christmas I think I watched more Netflix than anything else. When you have a few days off it's nice to be able to binge watch. The Crown, The OA, Travellers ad Dirk Gently were all better than just about anything the main channels had on offer.

Amazon Prime is still a little behind in terms of original content but it too is catching up.
