This is what happens when you pull a show off the air midseason and attempt to relaunch it 2 months later with three 30-second promos and 2 guest appearances on daytime talk shows. You can't just say "well split seasons worked for Breaking Bad!" when the promo campaign for shows that split seasons like that treat the shows like they're new seasons to raise viewer awareness. If your own core audience doesn't even know you're back and you're in the toughest timeslot of the week, you can't just expect to do well because "it worked for Breaking Bad" without understanding why it works for those shows.
**** off, Lifetime. I have no ****ing interest in any of this promo bullshit or executive crap, but Jesus, who didn't see this coming? And we're launching your new show! We're your lead in! Lead ins matter! And you just crippled your lead out by spending no money on promotion on your night's anchor.
I didn't mean to inject my own personal story into this. But I think most people in this thread could run this network better.”
Summary: Some cable networks are as bad as "Big 4" and midseason breaks isn't needed for all shows.
