ABC might be bringing Body Of Proof back from the dead.

I never understood why Body of proof was cancelled as it got like 11 million per episode. By the looks of that article, it was actually making ABC a lot of money, so i think they regret it. They better hurry though as they might have a hard time trying to get some of the cast back as it is likely they have moved on to other things.

I know the killing was cancelled by Amc but hopefully Netflix greenlits a 4th season as it's awesome

Overall figures are somewhat irrelevant, the demo is more important, as it's only the demo that advertisers really want (which is why TV shows tend to be aimed younger).

And the cast will be contractually obligated for 4 seasons worth, they'll either have to buy off their contracts or do both. Unless they had their contracts terminated (which I doubt given the way this keeps happening) they all have to return or pay up...

As much as I enjoyed Season 3, I think it really is done now. Mirelle Enos has three films due out next year so she'll undoubtedly be busy with the promotion of those at the very least, not counting any other work she picks up.

Joel Kinnaman looks pretty busy as well so I really do think it won't be back, unless they try the "reboot" route.

The kids willingly returning to their hostages, so they could die with their family ? Yeah, that made sense. If they were smart they would have left some clues in the outside world to alert authorites to their situation.

I really feel this show is going around in circles. Also, what is going to stop the black guy from disrupting and unravelling the entire plot of the show to the police? He will figure out that his boss set him up and he can probably get a lighter sentence, helping dissovle an active crime.

We wont know about The Mentalist future till May

The ratings are low in America but that its scheduling is one of the worst of all shows, Its on at 10 on a Sunday but regularly starts way later then that due to NFL overuns and sometimes as late as 10.45

I would love to see them swap it with Hostages (which is rating poorly) for a bit and see what it does on Monday nights, I love the Mentalist and its shame it gets such poor treatment.

If I guessed I;d say its 65/35 in way of this likely being the last season but wont likely wont know for sure till May

Arguably having NFL as partial lead in is a massive advantage. It's HUGE over there, Sunday Night Football (The name NBC gives to the matches it broadcasts) is always the highest rated program of the season.

But having no continuous schedule for the shows must be bloody annoying, especially if you hate American Football.

But what if your lead in is the Superbowl?

Would you hate American Football then?

Yeah but the Mentalist is shown after 60 Minutes, Amazing Race and The Good Wife by which time all the NFL viewers are watching NBC (I actually watch and like NFL for what its worth) and any advantage has long since gone

The Mentalist does usually grow on the Good Wife which is a good feat but last few weeks it has slipped behind with such late starts.

The Superbowl is on Fox this year. It's being followed by New Girl and Brooklyn Nine-Nine...

They always schedule newer programs after the superbowl, The Mentalist wouldn't get it...

True enough (especially the latter part of your post).

Speaking of sport, the baseball world series is on now and seems to have dented the ratings of the networks yesterday a bit.

Excellent news - one of my favourite shows overall. Hopefully it won't be too long before Dave gets Season 3.

Dads has been given a full season
and to think, this was pretty much predicted to be the first show cancelled of the season

Drop dead diva has been given a sixth season

Catfish has been given a third season

I dont normally moan about spoilers but this thread is about axed/pick ups and not about plot specifics of shows. I think you should have spoilered this (as i have). The show is yet to air in the UK (as far as i know)

It’s a UK/US co-production, but ‘Strike Back’ has been renewed for a 5th season (or 4th season if you follow the US numbering system) by Sky and Cinimax to air next year. It’s reported it’ll also be the programmes final season.
