And it's moving back to Monday nights in March! Show me another US show that has survived 10 timeslot changes in 9 seasons as well as Bones. No wonder FOX calls it their MVP!

Checking this page religiously waiting on news for The Good Wife and The Mentalist. Not holding much hope for either. I can accept one being cancelled, but both would be a massive blow.

According to this article: http://www.vulture.com/2014/01/tv-bu...cel-2014.html#

Quote:
“The Good Wife (CBS)

Its ratings aren't great among younger viewers. But it does fine in overall audience, it reaches upscale viewers advertisers love, and CBS covets the show's critical buzz. Add in the fact that CBS makes money from various syndication sales of the show, and there's no reason for fans to worry. Good Wife is good to go.

10 on the renewal scale”

Quote:
“The Mentalist (CBS)
With an average audience approaching 13 million viewers, why put this long-running CBS success on the bubble? Because it has two big strikes against it: Its age makes it costly, and CBS doesn't own the syndication or international distribution rights to it. If CBS has a good drama development year, it's quite possible the net will part ways with the show.

5 on the renewal scale”

The Exes has been renewed for a fourth season

I can see The Good wife being renewed over The Mentalist. Critics and awards adore the show, which really helps.

It'll be a shame to see the Mentalist end, if it does, as I quite enjoy the show - it's one of those shows that's an 'easy' watch. I suppose the end was always inevitable once they wrapped up the Red John storyline though.

Thank you for the information, much appreciated. Well that is very encouraging news regarding The Good Wife. I was under the impression it fell into the same trap as The Mentalist as it wasn't owned by CBS. Pleased that I was wrong. I tend to go by tvbynumbers and they appeared adamant that is was going to be cancelled. Where there is so much more scope for The Good Wife, I can understand various reasons why The Mentalist is on the chopping block.

I don't think The good wife is hitting it's demos like it used to be, which is where all comes to. Plus maybe it is expensive to continue. I can imagine Julianne Marguiles and Christine Baranksi being paid a lot per episode, as they such well known television actress before.

Someone on the neogaf forum said that "Vulture" did this list last year and they were only wrong on 3 shows.

So take some comfort...

Tvbtn also aren't wrong too many times either though

Netflix have renewed House of Cards for a third season, before season 2 has aired.

I wonder if snooki and jwoww will get series 3?

Its been shortened to 30min again, just watched the first episode and it was awful. Season 2 was quite decent though. Ratings have been dwindling.

Did Archer get a new season?

Archer hasn't been renewed yet

It's NBC's fault why The MJF show was a flop. They ordered a 22 episode season straight away, before any episodes were even filmed let alone aired. So they were too over confident and it's blown up in their faces.

No surprise there really - it had been on life support for some time.
