Sad about B&S, but I think it was definitely on it's way out. The Event is also no real surprise, even though i've really enjoyed it since it came back.
V has been good as well so a bit sad that's gone and i've enjoyed No Ordinary Family a great deal so that's bloody annoying that's gone. With SGU gone as well i'll have nothing left to watch apart from CSI and The Mentalist at this rate ! Ah well, onwards and upwards and just have to find some new shows now .. maybe i'll try the Chicago Code .. oh wait ..

I'm torn about V getting axed. On the one hand, it was a terribly disappointing series creatively and its cancellation leaves room for ABC to potentially show something else that is more compelling. On the other hand, it was getting better and was the only alien invasion series on US network TV (I think) and will be missed as a consequence.

Cancelling V was no big surprise but I'm gobsmacked about Brother & Sisters as I thought this season had been really good fun. Buggeration!

I'm really gutted V has been cancelled
As sad as it sounds I loved V. It was really good towards the end. Not suprised about The Event, even though I found that good too

Blimey, a few free slots next year for me at the moment with V, The Event, SGU and Lie to Me all gone.
Wonder what I shall be replacing them with.. |

I'm a bit upset about V actually, I've got quite into it recently! I'm sure as well that some of the actors were confident about it being picked up for another series but apparently not? (I may have made all of that up).
I'm not too surprised about The Event. I've actually quite enjoyed it but it almost seemed destined to go the same way as Flashforward. |

Regarding V (Season 2 finale spoilers to follow. UK viewers beware!):
Spoiler
I can't say i'm surprised though, it's been hanging on by a thread for two years already. I'd already stopped watching No Ordinary Family at about episode 14, it was just the same old same, old every week. Micahel Chiklis and Julie Benz deserve better shows. The Event was a foregone conclusion as soon as it returned from the hiatus, so while i'll miss it, i'm definitely no surprised. To be honest, none of these announcements have surprised me (except Chuck, for the life of me i can't understand how that's lasted as long as it has). Being an avid reader of TVByTheNumbers, it's been obvious what's going to be axed for weeks now. Hopefully next seasons shows stand more of a chance, this year has been a massacre. |

Looks like Sarah Michelle Gellar's Ringer pilot has been picked up by The CW and not CBS
http://insidetv.ew.com/2011/05/13/sa...heading-to-cw/ I'm a bit disappointed it's landed on The CW but whatever, I'm just excited to see SMG back on TV again. |

Hmm, ABC should have kept flashfoward instead of V last year. A shame to see it go though. Oh well at least there is still Fringe and Vampire Diaries to look forward to.

FlashForward fell well below what V was getting this year. Even though it's cancelled now, V was the right renewal choice last year out of the two shows. The FF finale got a 1.3 rating, while i believe that the lowest V ever dropped to was 1.7, most of the time it was steady with a 1.9, obviously much better than FF, which was in freefall.

A month or so ago, I read a list of Pilots that could be picked up. I outlined about four or five I thought would be great and it seems NONE of them have been picked up!!
As for what has been cancelled; I'm not bothered as I don't watch any of then, but the way US treats television shows is terrible! I try not to watch any show until its in it's second season. Gutted about 'V' though as I wish it was cancelled last year instead of FF |

Really disappointed about "V" being cancelled. I really liked that show.
I gave up watching "No Ordinary Family" & "The Event" so I'm not surprised they've been cancelled. All the others that have been cancelled so far I've never watched, so no great loss. |

The Event was very much The Non-Event for me, the opener was very formulaic in apporach, and to be honest I more or less wrote it off as a one-season wonder after the pilot, let alone the "re-tooling" half way in. |
