Almost Human seems to be Almost Gone! Given that Fox made the big announcement about the majority of their other shows that were on the bubble or question marked for some reason, the lack of an announcement isn't good news for the show. I've expected that it would be cancelled for some time.
Great news about B99 - that Golden Globe win saved this show, I'm certain. It's not a great ratings performer, and could have easily gone the way of Dads. Incidentally, the fact that they (basically, to all intents and purposes) cancelled Dads so early seemed to also have been Mindy's saving grace. Fox have a very thin pipeline now - having opted out of the pilot season - and they simply can't afford to lose anything they absolutely don't need to. But mostly, I love B99, and am just so happy they renewed. It goes to show that ratings numbers aren't everything, these days. Those Nielsen figures are flawed in all kinds of ways, given the way people consume TV shows is so different, even from just a few years ago. I look forward to them updating this system (can't come too soon IMO), and let it reflect what is actually being watched on the different platforms.
And, as for B99, I hope that it follows the same trajectory as Parks and Recs, which is made by the same people, IIRC. That show didn't really get going until season 2, has never been a big show, but does so well with media perception, rather than raw ratings numbers. It's certainly been a good choice for NBC to keep the show going, and they're into their 6th season now, and looking solid for a 7th season renewal.
Also, looks like we're getting to the business end of renewal season - expect to see a lot more announcements from the other networks pretty soon.
