White collar renewed for a sixth and final season. It will have 6 episodes. This has been heavily predicted for a white but the delay was regarding the episode count.

Has there been any news on Revolution or The Tomorrow People? I know most expect them to be cancelled but I really want some actual confirmation.

According to tvbythenumbers, the new show "The 100" premiered on the CW to bigger ratings than Arrow, and they reckon it's likely The Tomorrow People will be cancelled to make room for The 100. No official word either way though.

Revolution is a goner. The demos and ratings are awful

The tomorrow people is in purgatory, but the 100's early success suggests cancellation

I haven't started watching the second half of revolution yet, but i do think they, for want of a better phrase, blew their load in the 1st season by having them actually turn the power back on.

i just personally don't think it left them with many places to go after that. i still like the show though so it'll be a shame if it does end - just hope they can at least wrap it up.

I found Revolution very tedious. Part of a trend of shows where some apocalypse happens and we follow a group of people dealing with the aftermath. We already have Defiance, The walking dead and Falling skies doing that. As well Jericho from several years before as well

So does that mean 'The 100' will get a 22 episode pick-up next season ?

I think when it was announced, the CW said it would be kept for midseason if it was a success. Shorter season for tighter story tellinig.

I'm almost certain, but someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Beauty and the Beast is dead...the rest of season 2 is getting a summer burn off.
The Tomorrow People is dead, and nobody will pick it up by the way... that very rarely happens and definitely not on the cw.
Star Crossed is also dead..

If it keeps rating higher than Arrow then I would say a full season order is a given.

The part that killed Revolution for me was the endless breaks for months i mean im sure it killed interest for loads of people who got sick and tired of having 2 or 3 breaks

Supernatural is coming soon to Netflix UK. They have the deal in the works and now just waiting for the permission to stream it to their service.

Not sure if this has been posted yet but White Collar's been picked up for a six, and final, season. Unfortunately it's only getting six episodes, which is a bit crap but they will hopefully be able to pull all the loose ends together and give it a proper send off.

Ahh already mentioned I see

Revolution is excellent and deserves to be renewed until the story is told

From neogaf

That's not why.

Do you notice how most cable shows never go beyond 6 or 7 seasons, while some broadcast shows (Bones, NCIS, Grey's, SVU) can go on forever? Cable shows are able to achieve success with lower ratings because their costs are much lower than your standard broadcast show (instead of $4 million an episode, maybe it's $2 million). But, as your seasons go on, you start to incur costs you cannot avoid -- the cast gets mandatory pay bumps every season after season 3, the writers/producers get mandatory title bumps and pay bumps, and there are a bunch of other smaller, little things that start to add up to significant numbers.

The cost of White Collar continuing, even with fine ratings, becomes prohibitive. So, doing 16 episode seasons becomes almost impossible. And then trying to even do a 13 episode final season becomes tough.
Didn't know about "mandatory pay bumps"....

On most network shows cast pay goes up per episode (they might have stopped that now though), but explains hows many writers get co-producer credits and other titles on The Walking Dead.

It will be a long time before The Walking Dead faces that problem. Not only do the writers get fired every half season, but a couple of main cast members get killed every season!

Nothing yet, but if it had, it would be here anyway or on the DS homepage.
