For those not keeping score. Shows cancelled or ending 2011.

100 Questions (NBC)
That was cancelled last summer, although it was dead from the get go.

Wonder if we'll ever be seeing Friends With Benefits on NBC?

Only show I'm really bothered about is Breaking In... I thought it was a good show that had loads of potential. Bret Harrison's so unlucky with show cancellations, Reaper was very harshly cancelled as well imo.

Genre/ Sci-Fi/Fantasy tv shows have taken a massive hit,on the 4 major Networks.(Cable also) But with shows like V,The Event,No Ordinary Family,The Cape and Medium all cancelled. Also with the rejection of the Wonder Women Pilot.Does this mean Genre tv shows are less likely to be given a chance,on the Networks ?
All I know is that Terra Nova will be on Fox.There also that new J.J. Abrams show Alcatraz on Fox.But I'm not sure what genre it's going to be ?
Does anyone know if there is going to be any new Genre/Sci-Fi/Fantasy type shows, this september on the Networks ? Or is it all now down to the Cable channels taking a risk on these types of shows ?

I'd said elsewhere about Christian Slater being cursed but Bret has now been in 4 cancelled shows - The Loop, Reader, Breaking In and V, all of which I watch(ed)

He is in Covert Affairs and the second season of that starts soon -- so the curse must be over.

Flashforward was a better show than V and I think it had more potential.
I strongly beg to differ. FlashForward definitely had potential (as the great pilot showed), but it squandered it on immensely pointless and boring storylines, had god-awful acting from nearly everyone, and just never really seemed to go anywhere. Personal opinion of course, but for me FF was a massive disappointment that deserved to get cancelled.

I agree, thought it was one of the worse shows of the lot for many years, it did have the potential but when compared to shows like the event and V it was just a million miles away, IMO of course.

With the cancellation of so many great shows this time around it just goes to show how very lucky we are that Fringe managed to survive.

Up to you but i won't be bothering. I can't invest in a show that I know won't go anywhere.

Too be honest I'm disappointed it has been picked up.

It is too generic and feels soul less.

I really wanted to like it as I like Dana Delaney, but other shows have done this sort of thing better.

Been told by many sources its not worth watching even if it had not been axed, the shield it sure is not on all accounts.

Hardly a spoiler, all i said was Mac had left the building, and may i add there is nothing about stating no spoilers.

I still don't get Reapers cancellation. It's ratings were higher than most of the shows on the network at the time and how this network hasn't grasped that it is *the* place for Supernatural successess after (well it's predecesors) Buffy, Angel, Charmed, Supernatural and Smallville all being huge and (except Angel) running for at least 7 seasons.

I still kind of think that some network television should to cable length series and have one show run from September - December and the other Jan - May each year so people don't drop out during hiatus' and get bored in the middle of long runs.

As for Bret - he should stick to sitcom or join an already existant one.

I'l watch the pilot I recorded then that's it. Wish I'd started Treme now as that's safe for a 3rd? series.

Sad news about V, The Event and SGU.
TV sci-fi is in trouble this decade. Us Brits seem unable to make a decent show and the Americans keep cancelling them.
