I expected FOX to do a "Dollhouse" and give it a second season to find it's feet
To be honest, i only watched about 5 episodes and found the concept good but the plots naff. It was a show worth giving another chance though. Oh well. At least it never ended on a cliffhanger.

From Neogaf:

Everything boils down to ratings. Even HBO (hello, Enlightened!). And eventually and inevitably, Netflix.
at those who probably don't see it coming for Netflix.

On the Almost Human cancellation:

@Memles: Regarding #AlmostHuman: #Gotham is similar, and fresh start/franchise offer better growth/brand potential. Both would be redundant for Fox.

I thought you have said you never watch any American series until you have heard that there will be a second season.

On the Almost Human cancellation:
Netflix's ratings expectations will be lower though so can't see too many cancellations from them if any. Orange is the New Black and Hemlock Grove were both renewed.

When Calls The Heart has been renewed for a second season. This marks Hallmark's second original scripted drama to be renewed, followed by Cedar Cove.

Hopefully 'The 100' being rubbish will save 'The Tomorrow People'.

it's looking kinda likely cos cancelling this series would get Marvel such bad press that they wouldn't want to risk it - or something like that.

To be fair, I don't think it's doing especially badly either...

Apart from Scandal, Once upon a time and resurrection, a lot of ABC's dramas are not performing fantastically but a second season is very likely for SHIELD. But it's ratings could be better though. However it's ratings are much better than Nashville.

Shield is doing well in the ratings. It's not the huge hit everyone was expecting but it's doing well enough not to be in danger of cancellation. It could happily run for years if it keeps it's current audience. It does very well in international sales, and if they keep the movie cameos coming it will be extremely profitable in syndication when it reaches 4 seasons.

I don't follow US ratings, so i'm not sure the timeframes for them being published ect. When should we expect last night's 24 ratings to be out?

Considering the hype and the extreme promotion that 24 has had since last May when it was announced it was coming bacl, 24 should premiere with massive ratings. Perhaps over 10 million. It was a strong and impressive earner in the ratings for all eight seasons anyway so it's not as if it ever lost it's fanbase like a lot of shows do in the later seasons.

The 100 has been getting much better ratings than TTP and has a better chance of renewal everywhere I look has TTP as a slim chance of getting a 2nd season!

Ratings usually get released mid afternoon uk time so expect them about 4pm onwards
