I'm a sci-fi fan, but I gave up on Revolution ages ago.

Cast members are confirming Community is cancelled
yeah, it's official "COMMUNITY is cancelled: LINK

Great show and I give the network credit for giving it 5 years (it has always struggled). It just never got the audience that it deserved.
Darn, that sucks! I really enjoy watching Community, nearly finished watching season 3, awesome show!

I'd like to see Dracula get a season 2, too.

And also The Crazy Ones. Took me a few episodes or so to get in to it but I ended up really enjoying season 1.

Agree about Dracula but not confident.

Is this number of axed shows unusually high?

I remember there being a load back in 2010. The media called it something along the lines of "cult cancellation" as tons of shows that had cult followings came to an end.

Parenhood renewal delayed due to conflicts over the episode order. Season 6 is more than likely going to be the final season. They are not sure whether it will have 13 episodes or 9 episodes.

Not doing very well starting to watch new shows this year

Intelligence - Cancelled
King & Maxwell - Cancelled
Almost Human - Cancelled
Agents of Shield - Renewed

3 out 4!

Given up on Revolution and not exactly desperate to see Revenge, the last episode of which is sitting on my Tivo Box.

Awesome. I am absolutely gobsmacked that it has been renewed, but great news.

There is some hope left for COMMUNITY. While it has been cancelled by NBC, Sony (which produces the show) is expected to shop the show around to a new network or cable channel. Tha'ts according to VARIETY (LINK).

It's a long shot but it is in the realm of possibility. COUGAR TOWN was cancelled a few years ago and found a new home on another cable channel. And the same thing happened to SCRUBS (although it only lasted one more season). So keep your fingers crossed that COMMUNITY will get its sixth season "and a movie" somewhere.

Same here
It's had cancellation written all over it pretty much nearly all season.

Poor Sarah Gellar. Second flop show in a row. She really hasn't had it great since Buffy ended.

Good news about The Mentalist. they might really start to find their feet now with the new direction.

I suppose they should have a contingency plan ready though to have an ending for the story if the show continues to under perform.

Good news about the Mentalist being renewed. I actually think for all the drama of the Red John storyline and the slight disappointment at its ending - although the build-up made it almost completely impossible to live up to expectations - it is really enjoyable since the re-boot. I like the new characters. All they have to do is to get rid of the ridiculous love triangle and utterly boring and meaningless art detective and all will be gravy.

I think Dracula brings the number of shows I was watching this year that are cancelled/finished to 9.

That includes a few that I already knew would be finishing this year though.

I gave up on it midway through season 3 as I realised it just didn't make me laugh, but they've done well to survive this far I guess

Yeah, I'm confident it'll get at least another season somewhere else. Another channel, some type of Netflix deal or anything along those lines. I'd actually be more shocked if we never see anything new from Community. Typical NBC really, fools.

Good news for fans of Suburgatory! Not time to crack out the party poppers just yet but early signs are encouraging. Hope for Friends With Better Lives too http://deadline.com/2014/05/several-...for-new-homes/

It was doing poorly, don't slag off NBC, they gave it a lot more chances than any other network would have...

NBC have been very supportive to Community. I will give NBC a lot of credit right now in that they treat their shows with a lot of love and nuturing. It's very lucky it got 5 seasons. Looking at the ratings over the last 5 seasons, it was lucky it even got a 4th and 5th season. While i am sorry to those fans have lost it, but it's the nature of the business. Crap ratings = cancellation. It has 97 episodes in the can so NBC will make a ton of money in syndication.
