To be fair, it is an original series to the US. And Cinemax were a pre-buy that co-financed the series, presumably TNT have a similar deal, therefore they are arguably one of the producing broadcasters.

Whatever TNT's involvement in the production of season 2 onward, they certainly had nothing to do with the production of season 1.

Anyway, I too will note that when American channels call something "Original" they only mean it hasn't aired in America before. To them, the rest of the world is irrelevant.

It's true. American networks do claim a lot of shows that have yet to air in America to be original, as if it's their own show. They do it with a load of british shows.

Well, not quite. They are not claiming that they MADE these shows. You -- and I -- would use the word "original" in the sense of "originating," which at least implies making something. But the US channels use the word in a much more restrictive sense. They use the word like a code word for "not a re-run -- not something that you, the viewer in our audience, could have seen on American TV before."

Has CSI (Vegas) been given a short season order ? as read it is slot sharing with CSI Cyber which is a mid season show, or does in reality one or the other move slot as cover for an early cancellation elsewhere.

It seems CBS don't have much confidence as both CSI Cyber and The Mentalist are both mid season or does one get pushed to summer if the other shows are performing well ?

If a show is on midseason, it doesn't mean the network have no confidence. Some of today's shows on television started out as a midseason shows and became big hits.

and no CSI has not been given a short order season

Announcing her (real life) pregnancy probably made that decision sensible all round.

I didn't know she was pregnant, plus that and the fact Season 4 is more than likely going to be it's final season but CW want to do a short season like they did with Gossip Girl and Nikita.

Disappointed about FWBL, Think it got off to a good start, and had plenty of room to grow, shame it didnt take. Bad Teacher was ok at best, the lead character was going to get a bit annoying after a while anyway imo. Dont know how Cameran Diaz played the character as I havnt seen the film, but she in the series did not take with me.

Really gutted about The Neighbours, was surprised that it got a second season, but maybe three was expecting too much from a show like that.

Bad Teacher was terrible so not bothered about that, but I really liked FWBL. I hope the remaining episode are made available online at some point.

With Dads, Men At Work and The Crazy Ones all being cancelled I will have to find other programmes to watch.
