Shows I am looking forward in the next few weeks....Arrow, TVD, Grimm, Modern Family, The Big Bang Theory, About a Boy and Mom.

I stopped watching New Girl mid season but will probably watch the rest soon.

New shows I am looking forward to and will give a go... Gotham, Stalker, The Flash and Constantine.

Yes, I watch a LOT of shows Any suggestions of current or upcoming shows that I'd maybe like judging by what I am watching now?”

If you haven't watched these already Salv, I'd suggest:

2 Broke Girls, The 100, Beauty & the Beast, Heroes, Life Unexpected & Medium.

I'm no expert, just basing my suggestions on shows I like that fit with the ones you say you watch. Hope you find something there.

I'd also recommend Bates Motel, the excellent "contemporary prequel" to Psycho. It's excellent, and has this sort of weird CW type vibe to it. It sounds awful, but really works and both Vera Farmiga and Freddie Highmore are excellent, although it does seem to move slowly for the start of season then rush the second half, and it could do with addressing that for it's third season.

Thanks for the suggestion, I just found it on Netflix, so will give it a try.

How do TV rights work? Now channel 5 have dropped once upon a time. Does that mean all the rights go back to ABC in America and can be resold as a whole to another Channel. Or do 5 still keep the rights to season 1-2? Or is it a case by case basis? Like when e4 still show older glee episodes etc.

There are a few US shows not picked up yet...
CSI:Cyber
Agent Carter
iZombie
NCIS: New Orleans
Heroes Reborn
Deception
Selfie
Crossbones
Supernatural
Constantine
Once Upon A Time
The Returned
Badlands
Hart of Dixie
Jane the Virgin
Bordertown

To name a few stuff like supernatural and once will probably never find new homes. Plus some seem to fit perfectly into certain channels like Bordertown on FOX, Jane the Virgin on E4 etc. with ITV2 losing the reality stuff I see it focusing more on drama for 18-35.

Also, what is syndication and how does it work? Never understood it.

Well channel 5 have been reairing season 1 and 2 of Once upon a time very late at night so it seems channel 5 still own the rights to season 1-2 but chose not to renew their contract to purchase season 3. Channel 5 have keep once upon a time for as long as they like, or at least until someone bids them a lot of money for them.

CSI Cyber, Heroes reborn and IZombie do not air themselves in the states yet until next year so it might be too premature to wonder who will pick them up.

That show has seen a decline in ratings and is perhaps the lowest rated show on that network. A cancellation is very likely.

Season one was brilliant and I loved the whole concept of the show.

Season two was boring and dragged on....

I wouldn't be sad to see it go.

Concerning the wait over Continuum, and take this with a pinch of salt I suppose, but it's now saying on the shows Wiki page,,, "On September 26, Syfy confirmed that they were unlikely to save Continuum should Showcase choose to cancel it."

I agree with your summation however googling on the web it seems they are confident of a renewal. I am hopeful however the delay in news isn't encouraging.....

just seen this and very pleased. huge vote of confidence renewing it before season 5 has even aired.

makes me wonder if they've got plans to do a big storyline based over season 5 and 6, similar to what they did with dexter.

That would be a good idea if your theory is correct

I'm pretty surprised that Selfie hasn't got a UK home already. Given it's British star - and Karen Gillen is a pretty big name - I'd expect one of the major broadcasters to have taken this up. It seems the natural successor to things like New Girl and The Mindy Project, so E4 would be the most obvious choice for it.

Except it clearly looks like a dud and probably won't last the season.

I'm wondering how long TWD can last for? We know we'll get 6 seasons out of it, but is it going to just run and run or is there an endgame in sight? 7 seasons is usually the norm but i honestly can't see it lasting longer than 8 seasons at best. By then the spin-off might even become the focal point of the whole show. Who knows. It's a weird one this.

if the series is anything like the pilot, it's horrible. it might appeal to the E4 market who like Suburgatory, but that's it.

Good question. I know they've introduced this notion that they have a cure and that they have to get to Washington, so maybe that's essentially the start of the endgame ?

Maybe this is the idea behind such an early renewal ?. Maybe, a I said above, they've got a big storyline planned to cross two seasons and it'll involve them getting to Washington with the cure ?

She isn't a big name but she is what you would class as a "rising star"

Two years since the last series, The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret will return for a third series

Meanwhile, Hallmark have announced a change in format for their original series, Signed sealed delivered. Instead of a weekly televisions series, the show will now continue in a movie form. A christmas film is set to premiere in late november, while three new films are stated for next year.

Which probably means it will appear on Comedy Central, much like 'Friends With Better Lives', which CC have been hyping to the skies, despite it being cancelled after 5 episodes!
