Based on an extensive analysis of one episode , Jim looks the best amongst the blokes, harder to tell with the women, possibly Zoe?

Yes Jim does look good but it's way too early to even think about it. I don't think we have been given all of their names yet?

Yeah I suppose, strangly I know most of the guys names but only know Susan, Edna and oh god I forgotten PM's name now

None of the girls apart from Susan impress me.

But I really can see her becoming annoying, or I think she might be bullied by the other girls. (Saw a hint last night when she was the only one saying they should spend more, and Edna and Liberty is it? looked pissed at her).

But I think a man will win this year, I think Jim or Gavin myself but I rahter Vincent because hes already comedy gold

Same here. Early on I'd also say Jim or Gavin, with Vincent to hang around a while because he's potentially hilarious, and we've lost the comedy goldmine of Ed early.

Jim - though it seems too obvious.I want Vincent to stay for as long as possible. Potential comedy gold.

Agreed, by the end of last night's programme I was hoping they'd keep Ed around for entertainment purposes. Vincent sort of reminds me of Gareth from The Office (similar levels of self-delusion), but with longer, darker hair.

As Lord Sugar is now going in partnership with the new winner I wonder if the the 'loudmouths' who have tended to go quite far but never win (think Baggs, Syed, Paul) will be weeded out of the process earlier?

In fairness, she wasn't exactly prominently featured in the first episode.

Then how can you rate her chances to win?

Here's the predictions I made based on the interview tapes alone. You'll have to take my word for the first week. I haven't changed anything.

I initially had Jim as a tool for the first 10 seconds of his interview but quickly realised actually he will do quite well. Think he's going to get fired for not having 'spark' though a la that guy in 3rd series interviews, forget the name.

1 Glenn
2 Susan
3 Natasha
4 Jim
5 Zoe
6 Tom
7 Leon
8 Edna
9 Alex
10 Helen
11 Melody
12 Felicity
13 Gavin
14 Ellie
15 Edward
16 Vincent

The big characters never survive, so Edna, Melody and Vincent have no chance at all of winning (it's a spoiler of some sort).

Surprised to see many people rating Susan so highly, as the young females never seem to get to the interview stages (Laura was probably the closest??)

I truly wonder if it's just the fact that she put Edna and Melody in their places. Tonight is round two, so it should get interesting already.

Abit early to guess a winner, I think.

Glenn seemed to want to plan things through in the previous task (unlike Edward) so maybe his thoughfulness will result in future tasks (that he is in) having more corners covered than was not displayed with Edward's approach. The only thing with Glenn is that he showed his annoyance at Edward which, even though I fully sympathised with him on this part, see that it could (if expressed even more in future with other PM's) might be deemed as undermining the PM and not keeping the harmony of the team. However, I know still too early to predict how Glenn or any of the others will turn out and evolve but, him, Tom and Felicity might be interesting candidates to keep an eye on, with probably Jim in that group too. Have a feeling Melody might get mid-way but not much further (be surprised if she did), and think maybe Susan might be a suprise long stayer. Will need to see Zoe talking in second episode.

Too early to say for me.

What exactly are they winning anyway? An opportunity to run half a business with Sugar? One that doesn't exist yet and could easily fail?

Genuine question because I missed a bit of the start.

Too early to say but during last might's episode I thought "The Irish fella is a bit of a dark horse.."
He remained calm and spoke sense. With my luck he will turn into a shrieking cry baby or shirker next week!

I'm going to predict that Tom will win. Going by the first episode he was calm under pressure and talked a lot of sense.

Going to get a bit analytical for this.
Based on what we've been shown and how they are being portrayed:
Out of the girls, only Edna, Susan and Melody have had any kind of decent showing. The other girls have hardly got a look-in, if any of them were the winner I would have thought they would have been shown doing something by now. Since series 3 even in the first two episodes the eventual winner has had either a shining moment of glory or shown some creative flair, or at the very least demonstrated some competence and been credited for it. But we haven't really got any of that, just odd comments here and there that make no impact whatsoever.
If the winner is female I'd pick Susan, as she's been shown to be strong-willed, independent, and is also the youngest. Melody is far too over-the-top and Edna has had quite a clinical, uninspiring showing of herself.
Things may change though when the girls lose the task, or some of them lose the task if the genders are split soon.

But maybe it's time for one of the boys to win now after two female winners in a row. Now that Alex has gone, all the boys are collectively quite a complex bunch.
Jim has been shown alot but I have a feeling that his edit may get more negative and that he's heading for a fall.
Gavin's edit is interesting because I feel like he could have been given slightly less attention than he has actually been given, the show seems to give his opinions in his confessionals some reverence.
Tom has had rather a wishy-washy edit, he seems like quite a character, but it's largely been ignored, unlike Glenn who has been given more spotlight and shown more personality despite being possibly less interesting.
Vincent's portrayal has been far too negative - first episode had Karen talking about his sleaziness, and in the second episode he messed up his pitch after being quietly confident about it. Also Leon has been shown to be lacking strength of character in both episodes.

So overall I'd say the contenders are Jim, Gavin, Glenn, Tom, Edna, Melody and Susan.
I'll take a stab at it and say Susan.

Agreed, though I fail to see what is so special about Susan (she does not seem coherent and next week she seems to panic in a big way)

People also have to keep in mind that the candidates who have their own companies are at an advantage.

Basically, Natasha, Zoe and Ellie have done naff all so all should go in the next few weeks.

Glen and Tom seem like they may go far.

I will say a final section of
Leon (seems to be a Siralan fav)
Glen
Tom
Melody (depends if gets thrown out for being horrible to others)
Felicity
Gavin
Jim

I wouldn't want to hedge my bets yet. Jim has been portrayed in a hero-like way over the past couple of episodes ('soup-er man'); the extent this will change over the coming weeks I am unsure of though.

My outside shot/complete guess would be Glen. Sugar loves those which come from a humble background, which 'talk the talk' and who remind him of younger version of himself; properties Glen exudes.
