Platinum is a much better name.. Melody didn't want any other ideas but her own though, did she?

Even Galvanised was better. Gal - geddit?

I am still waiting for a team to use a stupid name like 'Bob'. Hi we are team Bob.

The name doesnt really mean anything...so why not go with something wacky.

To be fair, they took a vote on it so everyone got to have a say.

Team Venture isn't a brilliant name, but it was the best one put forward I thought. I didn't like "Galvanised" at all (too much of a mouthful). And the play on words would only have worked for a couple of tasks because the teams quickly become mixed.

They're called Venture yet were abit relecutant to spend as much of the money that L.Sugar gave them as they could (apart from Susan who seemed to want to). They won't be able to display too much caution in future tasks as L.Sugar doesn't like safe people does he.

I've given up trying to second guess what Sir Alan likes/dislikes.

When gambles pay off, he sings your praises. When they don't, he asks candidates what the hell were they thinking.

The boys spent all their £250 and where did it get them? Half their stock wasn't even used.

Perhaps if you wanted to start a record company.

Well true on both (bold) counts.

He does say that he doesn't like Steady Eddie's or Cautious Carol's often enough but, as you fairly allude to (or at least I think you are), he can be a bit contradictory too about what he does and doesn't want by the time the results of the task have been revealed.

I suppose all the contestants can do is go all out in tasks (though in a measured way) and just hope that any potential risks pay off. I think being reliable but with that certain spark is L.Sug's main spec.

Venture... has that been used as a name before, or am I thinking of another program?

Just seems very familiar.

Velocity was an old team name (I'm not sad, I googled it because you had me wondering now).

He likes candidates to get it right using their intelligence, not blindly follow a formula regardless of whether it's appropriate in the circumstances.

There are certainly tasks where you are given more resources than you need. Candidates ought to be smart enough to spot them - and also smart enough to spot when they need all the resources they can get.

Yes but you'd only expect highly successful business people to know that.
