Does anyone have any experience with this phone?

A friend of mine likes Android but can't be doing with the touchscreen typing, and this looked pretty good (I have the normal Desire myself). Is there anything similar out there, or is an updated model imminent?

I haven't heard of an updated Desire Z yet, it's still a relatively new phone unlike the original Desire which has just been updated as the Desire S.
