A loathsome show, a panto villain host and an insult to business

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/debate/ar...-business.html

I wonder if Sugar once said something rude about The Daily Mail and the paper's never forgiven him.

The daily fail is always ranting against the BBC.

"Reading the daily fail and complaining that it contains rubbish and abysmal journalism is like complaining that when you looked in a cesspit you saw ..."

Its a double whammy with the Apprentice for the Daily Wail as its BBC and Lord Sugar is a Labour peer.
The only way it could be worse for the Daily Heil would be if it only featured foreign teenage single lesbian mums on benefits.

Just to add..the article is written by a former chairman of Ch 4 so he doesn't work for the Daily Mail. Perhaps I should have typed

Former Chairman of CH 4 rants against The Apprentice.

He has a point obviously, but the article is too scathing for it's own good. He comes across a bit bitter, and the fact he worked for ch4 just makes it funnier.

No worse worse than what The Telegraph said.

This year he announced he is sick of what he calls the “moaning culture”. Everyone is complaining that banks won’t lend to small business. To Lord Sugar it’s sheer blahdee sloth. As he is always keen to remind anyone who will listen, he dragged himself from trainee bugler in the Jewish Lads’ Brigade Stamford Hill Division to intergalactic business Godzilla by starting out selling gravel to crows in Hackney or whatever it was. So should we all.

The upshot of all this is the format change: the lucky winner will get not just the cool quarter of a million but Lord Sugar as some kind of bearded, pudgy-finger-pointing guardian angel leering over their shoulder and telling them what he’s sick of on any given day.

You don’t have to be much of a business analyst to see what Lord Sugar and his Apprentice producers are up to. It’s the kernel of all great business “ideas” – fillet the best parts from someone else’s naive little venture and do it bigger and better. In this case the sincerest form of flattery is apparently being liberally bestowed upon Dragons’ Den.

I could do with this programme but I liken it too all the hopefulls on X factor and Britain's got talent. The Apprentice is no exception. If any of them had real talent and if any of them had the gumption they wouldn't need to be on The Apprentice or be on the talent programmes.
Like last eyar I just find The Apprentice so amusing. They are all full of big ideas and running around like blue ass flies. You just watch Alan Sugar and he is thinking the same. he must have a right good old laugh when he's on his own. I think its a pathetic programme.

Typical Mail, people shouldnt take their 'news' seriously. It can be very inaccurate.

The Daily Mail despises the BBC and Labour. Sir Alan works for both. 'Nuff said.

Well, this isn't really news but an article with a jorno's opinion of a show. It can't really be inaccurate since most of it is just his opinion.

Lord Sugar is a Labour peer. The Daily Mail is a staunch Tory newspaper so it's no surprise they're trying to trash his show!!!

Unfair criticism is what the article is guilty of, most of it sounds like it was written by a bitter ex contestant. The truth is C4 would kill to have The Apprentice - pulling in 7-8 weekly viewers. The Apprentice is factual mass entertainment, the contestants gain the experience of a lifetime

Hmmm, i'm sure it has nothing to do with Lord Sugars links with Labour & the DMs Tory links..

Comparing John Harvey Jones with Lord Sugar???

The BBC anti-business???? When they're taking BBC Breakfast and other production bits to Salford.

"Luke Johnson is a British serial entrepreneur" that's where the parallel with Lord Sugar begins and ends and when it comes to business and and the moronic rant in this piece I'd prefer to go with Lord Sugar.
