a 250k investment which is a nice tidy penny but alot of these people already have their own business's i think one of them already mentioned they are millionaire
So my point is even though its good to have 250k investment, wouldnt 1mil or at least 500k be a bit more of a prestigous prize... 250k imo is the short of thing you would offer to the junior apprentices. |

It seems an odd prize. Mind you, the prize has always sucked! Working for Alan Sugar when most of them have their own businesses or high end jobs already?
Like Sugar often says, wild horses wouldn't have dragged him back to working for someone else once he had his own business. It's almost like he looked down on them for wanting to work for him in the first place. Half the time I get the impression he sees them all as a bunch of arse lickers and has little, if any respect for them ![]() Maybe he changed it for that reason. Now they get 250k to co run a business with him. Of course, there's still the chance it could totally fail and they will come away with nothing, and some of them quit their decent jobs to be on the show. Seems like a stupid risk if you ask me. |

It's 250k of money and value.
The actual cash element will probably be quite a lot smaller. |

I suspect that in this day and age of celeb obsession, these people are doing it partly for the prestige of being on TV. The Apprentice, much as I love it, has definitely descended into 'Big Brother With Suits'.
